Noob Advice Sorcerer Build Xbox

Hello,

I am just looking for some advice really as I am just so lost in the game.

I am level 14 and I have no idea what I am doing with my character I am just continuing on the quests because its all I know in the game

I am a High Elf Sorcerer in the Daggerfall Covenant and I am just looking for some advice on a good build for it?

All I am doing is going for spells that say that do a lot of damage and I am using armour with a high armour number

Also I completed 'Spindleclutch' last night with some random people I grouped up with which was great fun and the best thing I have done on the game. The only thing is it takes so long to run around trying to find people who want to do it :( Also when I request to join a group for it it can never find me one.

So just some advice please as I am really new to this and I have read some guides but im still a little lost haha

There are so many different ways to play the sorcerer my advice would simply be play quests, enter public dungeons, occ join LFG for groups.

Try to focus on light armor, racial skills and one of your sorc trees. One way to help leveling your three sorc trees is to have at least one of each tree on your ability at all times even if you dont use it much.

You will have plenty of time to respec later

An alternate to your sorc tree skills is to focus on destro staff, but to maximise your experiencing the class potential don't worry about destro specific ability until later in game
Everyone knows the phenomenon of trying to hold your breath underwater - how at first it's alright and you can handle it, and then as it gets closer and closer to the time when you must breathe, how urgent the need becomes, the lust and the hunger to breathe. And then the panic sets in when you begin to think that you won't be able to breathe - and finally, when you take in air and the anxiety subsides...that's what it's like to be a vampire and need blood.

I chose the same basics: high elf, daggerfall, sorcerer. am only level 5 though. so far, I can't handle more than 2 enemies at once, and even then I have to sneak attack the first one. all my points in magicka so far, destroy staff, and working 2 sorc trees. fun so far, 4th character I've made and totally different playstyle than Templar.

Crystal Shards is a fantastic ability to take right away, and you can morph it into Fragments or Blast fairly quickly. I believe frags is the more popular morph.

If you're going down the destruction staff line you can get Force Shock as soon as you can, since it's a very good filler ability and it works fantastic with with Magicka Drain (weakness to elements morph) because it hits 3 times.

The storm calling tree is also a great place to look for some nice damage skills, you can try lightning splash and lightning form if you're looking for more AoE. The overload ultimate is fantastic burst if you have some extra ultimate charged up.
Also try to pick up Entropy and/or Surge for the nice spell power bonuses ;)

Defense-wise if you're wearing light armor you will also find yourself pretty squishy and you gotta make some good use of damage shields on that one. Conjured Ward and Annulment are definitely worth leveling.

This post is actually getting pretty long and I'm about to hit the hay so i'm just gonna hope other posters out there pick up on what I missed like passives, and maybe some console differences i'm not aware of. Good luck with your sorc, they can be a lot better than people give them credit for in PvE and of course they're very fun to PvP with also!

Gear: 4-set Magnus (crafted set) and 4-set Eyes of Mara (crafted set) OR 4-set Seducer (crafted set).
Use magicka jewelry with magicka cost reduction enchants (use warlock jewelry if you find it).
Try to wear heavy armor chest, medium armor legs/head/shoulders or boots and the other 5 pieces light armor. Light armor gives bonuses to magicka skills, especially magicka cost reduction, spell penetration and spell crit are important. Invest heavily into magicka and spell power because this increases the damage from your spells.

Skills desto staff: hardened ward (conjure ward morph), crushing shock (force shock morph), crystal frags, degeneration (entropy morph) and bound aegis (bound armor morph) / inner light (mages light morph) - ultimate: greater storm atronach
Skills resto staff: harness magicka (annulment morph), healing ward (steadfast ward morph), liquid lighting (lightning splash morph), daedric minefield / rapid regeneration (regeneration morph), bound aegis (bound armor morph) / inner light (mages light morph) - ultimate: shooting star
*Slot bound aegis if you want more survival, use inner light if you want more damage.

Mundus stone: atronach (magicka regen) or mage (magicka).

Its also useful to eat buff food to increase your magicka and health.

The best guide I have seen to date. I know he hasn't updated in a wile I think he is sick, but here you go.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FCBxstvvCY\

It is not designed to be god mode at end game as there are other builds like this one below for that, but it is a great leveling build.
