[Daggerfall Covenant] Bloodtide Blades
Bloodtide Blades Home Forum - What You Need to Know/Guild Charter (As of 7/2/2015)
Purpose Statement: To provide a spectrum of players to network with for socialization, grouping, trading, or other in game needs and desires; in basic essence, to achieve our own slice of utopia.
General Purpose: Social, Trade, PvE, PvP, etc.
Guild Population: 195 (As of this post)
General Makeup: We have a handful of Veteran Rank players already (approximately 15-20), with many more on the way, and the majority of the guild is active at one point or another.
Who We Are Looking For:
1. Players interested in Guild Leadership (PvE, PvP, Management, Social, Expertise, etc.)
2. Players with previous Guild Leading experience
3. Experienced MMORPGers
4. Enthusiastic, fun-loving players
5. Active, dedicated players
We only have one rule...
Rules:
1. Respect Each Other
...but there are some guidelines...
Guidelines:
1. Use the Guild Bank Responsibly; this includes refraining from "looting" the guild bank or taking items you do not need/excessive extracting without placing anything in
2. Trade Fairly and No Scamming; trade prices should be within reasonable limits, as in no "price gouging", and scamming other players or guildies is frowned upon and may be punished severely
3. While swearing for the sake of swearing is not approved nor frowned upon, swearing at players and/or verbal abuse will cause you to be kicked from the guild and possibly reported thereafter
4. If any misunderstanding or argument breaks out between two members of the guild, regardless of rank, the outcome of the disagreement must be approached carefully, thus consultation of any matters within the guild or guild related must be brought forth to the attention of either myself (the Guild Leader) or at least two of the five Seconds in Command
5a. Any guild officers who abuse their power in any way should be reported to myself (Guild Leader) immediately; depending on the circumstances, they may either be immediately demoted if evidence is ample or a council of high ranking officers may be called together to settle the matter; if the accusation is of a high ranking officer, then a wider council including the Second and Third Command officers may be required
5b. Specifically, guild officers do not have the right to: demand any items or currency from other players because of rank, demote or promote guildies for no reason or without approval, or use their power in any other way, shape, or form with the intention of or resulting in the physical, mental, or emotional harm of other guildies or players
5c. To be eligible for guild leadership, an initial officer position is granted, whereupon an evaluation of the potential officer begins over a span of time; length of evaluation dependent on potential officer's level of activity, choice of activity, etc.
6. Although a mic is not required to enter the guild, it is recommended to have one; this is a social guild after all
7. More guidelines may be created in the future depending on how the guild develops and what kind of situations are created during the guild's history; these other guidelines may be proposed by the Guild Leader (myself) or by one of the five Seconds in Command
In addition, there are some other features to the guild...
Features:
1. A fairly active trading community; hoping that getting some more trade-oriented players in the guild will boost this feature
2. Friendly, sociable environment
3. 4 different Guild Chat Channels (not including the Officer Chat)
4. Access to Guild Bank and Guild Store
5. Relaxed, friendly guild hierarchy
6. Anyone can join and anyone can invite
7. Guild rank and role progression
8. Freedom to play solo, in groups, or as a guild
9. Defined roles within the guild based around your interests and specialities
Please note that while our guild is associated with the Daggerfall Covenant, players of all factions are welcome to join! Please also note that our status as a Daggerfall Covenant guild will limit your role in PvP for the guild specifically; we will not stop you from participating in PvP in another alliance, but you will not be able to represent the guild in PvP otherwise.

GUILD UPDATE: ALL MEMBERS READ THIS:
We have implemented a new rule within the guild to promote participation and awareness within the guild. The leadership understands if you have a life and are also part of other guilds, but hopefully this rule will promote at least an awareness within the guild and, even more so, promote the use of the Guild Chat and Guild Trade systems, along with grouping within the guild itself.
The rule itself entails that, to move past the initial ranking, you will need to do one of these two things...
1. Successfully recruit one Friend into the guild, and then message who it was in the title of the in game mail message. This can only be a friend, not a random person. I will check if they are on your friends list or not.
2. Donate 5,000 Gold to the guild bank. It will show on the ledger, and that is how I will know you did so and will promote you based on that.
The initial rank will only allow you to participate in Guild Chat, Donate to the Guild, or Invite. That is it. To use the other guild functions, you will need to attain that second rank.
I know many will probably leave because of this new rule, but with currently +200 members, we can afford to lose a few that would not serve the guild in the long run anyway. My fervent hope is that most of the members remain and begin to participate more within the guild so that this rule may be eventually lifted.
