I was at a Dolmen and I saw a bloodfiend I ran up to it and let the bloodfiend hit me about 15 times. I look in my active effects and there is nothing, i wanted to know if you can get vampirism from a bloodfiend in a dolmen or you have to find one in the new moon. BTW if anyone is willing to give me a free bite im on xbox one and just tell me.

The only Bloodfiends that can give you the disease are in Zone 4 for your home alliance.

Note, once you get there, you have to let them pound on your for a while.

There are regular bloodfiends, and vampires all over the game, they are just considered undead and other than dropping enchanting glyphs more often are the same as any other mobs

    Same with Werewolves

Not sure if you need to be near the Alters and Shrines to get the disease, but I think you also need to do that in zone 4
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

You would never be able to do the first quest to become a vampire at L8, unless you are really good at Kiting. And, the skills are based on a L38 character (in that you need L38 Mobs worth of experience to level it) so you will level the skills real slowly. All the time you are basically running around in gasoline soaked clothes and most NPCs use Fire Attacks.

Don't be in such a hurry to be a Vampire. You need to be stronger as a character to gain any real benefit from it and deal with all the downsides.

The only bloodfiends in game that can infect you with vampirism are those that spawn as a special occasion in the fifth region on each faction. You will encounter 100s of bloodfiends in the game. If it is not
    a) night time
    b) in the fifth zone
    c) generating frenetic discussion in /zone chat (for PC) or area voice chat (consoles)
    d) 100s of players pouring out of wayshrines
Chances are high that the bloodfiends you found are just useless world mobs.
