Redguard tank/dps help!!!!!!!

So my first race and class I chose was redguard dk I don't really care about racial buffs, I'm using 2h/1h+shield and I was trying to tank/dps when. I'm playing the tank roll I can taunt enough to get by as much as the game will allow but my dps in horrible and when I switch to dps I manage but ik I could be doing better I need a little guidance as too what I should do keeping In mind I want to use 1h+shield and 2h.I'm only lvl 21 now and ik my build isn't incredibly neccassry right now but I would like to respec soon before it cost to much. Thanks in advance for any advice and I apologize for any Grammer issues as I'm on my phone at work.

1h/s + 2h is a good setup. The 2hander will work great for soloing and leveling up. When tanking, 2h is good for groups of enemies, using brawler for a constantly refreshing damage shield. Use the sword and shield for tougher targets and bosses.

I would probably go 5 medium + 2 heavy armor to keep your stamina up, especially with the 2h.

Thanks for the feed back does the 1h+s offer any aoe or decent dps for lvling some times I get tired of swinging a giant sword around and would like to do some fast attacks is this possible? And is the 5m+2h mandatory for asthetics I would like to keep my heavy armour if i can make it work into the build I would like to keep it thanks again in advance

Imo switch the armor to 5 heavy and 2 medium. The beauty of this game is that the build dictates what you do while levelling. Dont take every single Morph to be only stamina and tanky. Vary your choices but maintain a theme. For eg: many would advise to take inner beast ( the stamina Morph of inner fire from the undaunted guild) but I would use inner rage. This will give me more options to taunt since if I run out of stamina, I can always use inner rage to taunt. Things like this helps tremendously and will allow you to be a better tank/dps.

Every little bit helps. Would I be asking to much for some suggestions for skills to use while still leveling for solo/group play mainly for the skill bar I can manage the passives.
