Epic provisioning mats - Be Prepared

Already the prices have skyrocketed!!! by 10x!! Now, I am sure that the pricing will level out over time... but the fact that the new recipe, that everyone and their brother will want, requires BOTH epic mats that are used for crafting VR10 drink and food is just a wee bit much if you ask me. Off the top of my head, I would have preferred they implemented a brand new epic mat instead of using existing ones...

And to those of you that knew in advance... I hate you...

I agree, would have preferred 3 NEW purple mats for this new recipe.

If anyone knew this was happening in advance, that would infer that this patch was tested, and well, erm, not so much.

Dude. I have an apt mule character loaded with fish ready for this day. I knew fishing would be the best part of this game. Just had to wait for it to come full circle.

BTW, this recipe and the roe for it were data mined a few weeks ago. We'll know and was listed in this forum.

I think players banked on this happening when it was datamined and posted on Reddit. Those players began quietly buying up all the purple provisioning crafting mats and now that the price has gone up to crazy amounts, can really make bank. I saw stacks of 10 Beverez Juice selling for 1k gold two days ago, I am sure they are 1k (or more) each now.

I've had quite a bit of both epic mats saved for quite some time now thanks to hirelings and daily writs. I only focus on two stats rather than all three so I opt to use the superior foods instead of the epics. I'm glad to finally have a use for them as they've mostly just been sitting on my mule collecting dust.

Now what will be messed up is if they nerf the chance of getting frost mirriam and bervez juice from hirelings and writs.

Purple mats should also be very rare drop items instead of just gathering hireling items, as should other craft profession upgrade mats.
