Question about the mounts

StuddMuffinVag
So I've read a while ago that you can feed your mounts 50 times, and on the horses at 20 in one skill it adds a cosmetic change. I also read that the best mounts used to be the horses you bought for 50k because they came with a bonus 10 to one stat on top of the 50 feeds. But I got the imperial horse and noticed I can feed it 60 times. Did the update to 60 remove the point of having the base 10 from the other horse or do those three now provide 60 levels and a bonus base 10 or is that 10 factored in? Also since I can feed it 60, can I theoretically have all three cosmetic changes? Thanks in advance to anyone that sheds some light to this new ESOTU player!

No horses have a bonus of 10 any more, and horses are no longer fed. Instead, you can take up to 180 riding lessons at the stables to increase your mount's stamina/speed/capacity, each to 60.

I don't think that's true. I fed my horse for the first time last night and it increased my stat by 1, just fine.

Pre 2.0 you would feed your horse, and the stat bonus was just for that horse. If you owned different horses (with one character) then you had to feed each one.

Now it is a "riding lesson" and the bonus goes to the character no matter what horse you are riding.

    Also I agree with Enodoc.

The riding lessons are only for the crownstore and costs you real money to upgrade your mounts.

In game stable gives you the same thing. 1 per day (not 10) and it applies to all your mounts. In game stable costs gold per day and is character bound. You never loose it. Just feed your horses :-)

You don't think what's true? Last night you would have taken a riding lesson which increased stats, because "Feeding" is no longer a thing. Feeding was a pre-1.6, per mount system. Post 1.6, it's riding lessons which are per character.

You can either buy one riding lesson per day at a stable for 250 Gold, or you can buy riding lessons in packs of 10 from the Crown Store.
