Why is the emperor ridiculously over-powered

So me and about 14 others found an emperor outside of fort ash, and we naturally try and kill him. Instead, he seems to have limitless health, magicka, and stamina. Now also add on the fact that he killed us all in less than 5 seconds while we spammed damage at him, doing absolutely nothing. Then if he got low when we came back out he would pop his ultimate and go invisible for about SEVEN seconds. he would then reappear with full health. Why is this possible?!

If you are playing on Azura, I know who you are talking about. There was an Emp yesterday using clouding swarm that killed 5 VR14's at a resource while standing on the flag with all the NPC's attacking him too. He was very good.

This is what he does, go stealth, charge proxy det, clouding swarm.... (the initial proxy det from stealth hit me for over 20k so it basically insta killed me).

Personally I think they should get rid of the emp skill lines. People are already OP without it. Then they become Jesus when they are currently emp.

was he v14 and you guy low level ? and the invisible sound like he used his vampire skill line ultimate which would heal him plus do damgae

Why is the EMPEROR overpowered? Because that hero is the Emperor, the one and only Emperor in the entire campaign...

Also, the person behind that Emperor is likely a MUCH more skilled player than you and your entire group. They have been playing PC pvp for a while and know the skills and playstyles backwards and forwards while you are probably brand new and guessing at which skills to use and when to use them. Plus they were probably v14 with a good lot of CPs.

Good luck trying to kill a v14 emp that transferred over from PC... I suggest you avoid him and try again when you're in the higher veteran ranks and actually know how to pvp in this game.

Stats +75%, ulti gain +100%, healing recieved +50%, that's what you get for being emp. 7 seconds invis is most likely the vampire ultimate.

On Azura US today, we spent many hours trying to dislodge a Sorcerer-Vampire Emperor and his raid from BRK, their last emp keep. We had greater numbers, but it was a long and tough series of fights. A DPS emperor with a good crew is basically a raid boss.

It was awesome. Emps are absolutely overpowered, but that just means that their ascension or fall is significant. There's something at stake, and that's great.

Console is probably going to need to open up a few more non-veteran campaigns or risk losing a lot of players that get tired of being killed by transfers.

I've been emperor a few times, under normal circumstances emperor's are strong but far from invincible. A small group of good players can kill even the best of emperors.

There is one exception to this. Any skilled and experienced PC player who has gotten a character copy and is emperor on console will be near unkillable. It's possible for one of these players to survive 50+ battle leveled console players bashing on them while getting endless killing blows which give 40 ultimate each. This isn't a matter of emperor itself being overpowered. This is brought about from the poor decision of allowing PC players to have their characters copied over to console. If you are a low level on console I strongly suggest playing on the non-vet campaigns.

When one player becomes emporer, he becomes the equivalent to a world boss. This is intended and how it has always been.
Their is nothing overpowered about it, it's one person on a server of hundreds of people.
He's the emporer of the war, he is intended to be the strongest in the battlefield whilst he reigns.
