DK Breton suggestions welcome...

I think most people on here have a better grasp on character builds. I went with a DK Breton. I was wondering how much to invest into my weaponry or pour most of it into magic and my magicka. Typically I dual wield weapons or go one handed but I opted for the Breton due to his magic res.

Any recommendations or ideas for me?

With the other two passives of the race being magicka spell cost reduction and max magicka, the race is definitely more geared to be a magicka healer or DPS, rather than a tank. Now if that doesn't bother you, the racial resistance passive will probably be best applied to a 1h/sh tanky build, but also benefits any build really.

If it were me, I would sink most of my attribute points into magicka and make a fire mage. The DK mage is unusual from what the stereotypical idea of a mage is. Its an up close and personal AOEing machine. It has some great single target abilities as well, but the AOE is where it really shines.

What @WyldfireWyrm said about Breton passives synergizing well with a DK fire-mage type build is 100% correct. Where my opinion differs is on the tanking subject.... I've tanked with my DK from BETA and Magicka is huge for a DK tank, Stam is only really used for Blocking & Dodging, for the most part your key survival & utility skills consume magicka...
Choking Talons - Root mobs in place and reduce their Damage
Extended Chains - Pull mobs away from DPS/Healer and group them up for faster burn
Green Dragon Blood - Strong self heal and Stam regen buff
Igneous Shield - Damage shield for you and your group which boosts the effect of GDB....
these are staples of almost any DK tank build and they are class skills that consume a fairly large amount of magicka. The magicka sustain from the Breton passives actually fits well with DK tanking.... is it the most ideal race for a DK tank, probably not, but it's definitely viable. You will have to invest in Health more than a Imperial or Orc and some of your gear will need Stam enchants, but DK tanks are magicka hungry as hell.

I have a Breton Templar that i went Stamina build on,

    my Reasoning was as follows,
Breton has enough magicka passives and regen to maintain my heals etc,

    Put all attributes into stamina,
    all armour glyphs into stamina,

i run 2H and Sword and board,

    I know DK's are different
