Why the spell power pots have like a delay/lock to be used and VR5 ones is instantly?

It's not hard to max Alchemy you know? It only took me an hour or so and about 30k worth of materials to level it from lvl 3 to max.

The fact is, Potions are part of the game we were given and like them or not, all parts of the game should function correctly.

Tested again last night (because I have ~500 of spell power pots sitting in my bank DOING NOTHING FOR ME), still blocked from drinking a spell power potion during some animations. Detection pots still work great of course.

@ZOS_GinaBruno is there any way you guys could take a look into this or is this intended gameplay?

Its a bug, Its the spell critical part of the potion that bugs it out, Use potions without the spell crit bonus and they dont delay (not needed anyway since inner light)

Myself and most likely all the people on this thread understand that it's the spell crit causing the bug. Also, myself and most of the people on the thread are using Detect Pots as a work around.... the real issue however is the lack of any acknowledgement of the issue from ZOS.

Last night I crafted Spell Pots without the crit component and I still had the same issue.
Im not convinced that crit is the issue.

It's not the issue. I have it all the time with my tri-stat potions.
