Nb healer: weapon to dps?

There are so many good magicka class skills for NB, that i am wondering if is really worth to use destruction staff as weapon while i am not in a group or dungeon... Maybe the best choice is to go with resto staff and a bar full of class skills... It is a good idea?

Any destro staff skill that is really worth using the weapon?

Yes. Resto is viable now and it was actually the best way to do magcika NB for a long time, since resto had a bonus damage on full life passive. At the moment Destro is better than resto for single target dps only if you light or medium attack weave a lot. (which you should do since magicka NB should get really good at using Grim Focus)

As for using the Destro skills. I still like using Impulse+Sap Essence combo. It isn't necessary and I probably would get better results by going 2xDagers and only use sap. But my NB used fire staves since level 6 when ESO had really cool fire effect animations and one would use wall of ellements just because it looked so freaking awesome. I am holding on to a dream I guess.

Start out with Resto staff and level it up all the way, then go Destro after. That way you can be a healer for all the dungeons from the get go. If you ppack your bar with as many Resto staff abilities when you turn in quests, you can have the skill line completely leveled by level 25.
