Zenimax, is Dark Cloak (and Shadowy Disguise) ever going to be fixed?

The Nightblade cloak line has been broken since day one and despite regular pleas from players seems to be totally ignored as far as bug fixes are concerned; I'm not sure that there's any point even submitting bug reports any poor.

I'm still having Dark Cloak break inexplicably, not cancel attacks, not work at all (as does Shadowy Disguise) and (one of the main points of Shadowy Disguise) not cancel the Bleed DOT and break instantly if bleeding?

If Zenimax have no intention of addressing the bugs (or don't know how) I wish that they'd just say so I can at least just stop using it and try something else.

It's depressing that a class defining skill is so broken and ignored!

If there's any DoT tick, it counts as damage dealt, so it breaks the Stealth.
I'm okay with it because I only ever use it to break the fire dmg from siege and channeling attacks like the jesus beam and soul assault, not for actual stealth.. But even then, it works okay when i really need it, are you sure you're not being hit by some AoE or caltrops ?

Also, Dark Cloak breaks effects. It works.
Shadowy Disguise does nothing other than garantee a crit next hit.

Dark Cloak should cancel 4 DOT effects at Rank IV but doesn't seem to cancel bleed DOT effects at all; I assume that this is a bug.

^ I never noticed bleed damage after I used it.. maybe the skill is bugged if there are more than 1 active effects.. Not many people use bleed on PvP wich is where I use it most, so it could be a bug I never seen for some reason .-.
let's see if someone else has this problem as well o3o'

The main issue with nightblade cloaks is actually inherent to how combat works overall. when an attack is calculated and when it lands are two seperate events, so if someone fires off an attack and a split second later you cloak, the attack will still land, because the hit was calculated before the cloak. in most situations this makes cloaking worse than useless.

It has been suggested many times that they change how cloak works to compensate for this, IMO single target attacks should be negated but aoe's should still connect, if a nb wants to burn through all their magicka to negate single target attacks in much the same manner a permablocker with a shield does, i see no issue.

I agree, I get so angry when I Dark Cloak over and over and over and over and over and it ends instantly cos i took damage from a DoT that should have been removed or an attack. Gets me quite annoyed when you see people can just craft invisibility potions 10X better than the Nightblade ability because it last WAY longer and can give other great affects such as a big heal or immovability.

Zenimax doesn't acknowledge known issues and then buries discussion on the topic.

Well.... ZOS has less than 1 month and 1 week before console drops to get it fixed, but I think it never will now. Before we had a SUB to threaten them with, now more than likely they could care less. It has been way over a year and Shadow Cloak still breaks at random times, also we have potions that last longer and do more (speed and immovable) that anyone can use.

I still think that Shadow Cloak and its morphs should not break on damage at all, you should just take the damage if it does hit you, since it doesn't say it breaks in the tooltip to damage, and since other classes have abilities, like a templars healing, a dragonknights dragon blood or a Sorcs's Bolt escape that works and doesn't break on any damage, neither should Shadow Cloak and it's morphs.

I mean why should I cast it and use my Magicka on it and then it just breaks willy nilly when other classes have a heal or a escape and theirs do not break on damage.

[oh and don't tell me to then not use it, I should be able to use it, it should work full stop and if it doesn't... it needs to be fixed ASAP or it needs to be an ability a Nightblade can use for free (thats right, no Magicka cost) with only a slight timer cooldown since it doesn't work how it should.]

I have said it before to ZOS, and I will say it again, fix Shadow Cloak and it's morph's.

I don't understand the detection system. I was in stealth and hidden (supposedly) saw a red blob coming hit cloak and was found by the first guy.

I assume he was hitting sorcs ult utility of bol, but i still had "hidden " on my screen even when he hit me.

It would be better to have no info rather than misinformation. Of coursr with s spam aoe blog it could just be lag.

Anyeay can i get an anti detection potion so cloak works. Or maybe just an anti bolt potion?

There are detection potions as well. I usually use cloak for temporary breakaways and armor/spellres buffs. Its also good for sneaking up close to assassinate someone (assuming they aren't using a detection potion).

I find that its working as intended now, atleast not as bad as it was before.

It only tends to bug when im fighting multiple enemies or near a large zerg (Maybe attacks lag and hit me while stealthed so I get kicked out of it?)
anyway Shadowcloak breaking for having a dot on you is balanced... it could use some tweaks but bare in mind if it didnt NB would be insanely OP because all attacks will crit while invis (heals,Dots and base attacks) this playstyle currently works but isnt crazy OP.

I roleplay as a Klingon Bird of Prey and rarely do the mechanics of the game ever break my immersion

Recently switched from Dark Cloak to Shadowy Disguise and my circumstantial experience is that SD seems less reliable at dodging single target attacks, but I can still swoosh to the back of a zerg without it breaking. If a couple of guys start focusing me down I'm probably not going to be able to dodge them all and get permanently invisible, but that's fine; I want to infuriate my enemies, but I don't want actually want to be an impossible to kill piece of garbage.

I advise you to work on your timing, friends, and also don't run away in a straight line when you cloak
