I just unlocked the bound armor skill from the sorceror class, daedric summoning skill line. It gives me, wearing light armor, less than a 5% increase in my total armour, along with +5% total magicka. I don't understand how this could be worth a skill slot in any situation? That additional armour is completely negligible, and 5% magicka is hardly worth shouting about.
Is this supposed to be purely cosmetic? I don't think the other classes have slotted cosmetic skills. Why not make the visual part of the skill into a costume and sell it in the store?
It would make a respectable passive, and I understand that sometimes some skills are going to be under/over powered and balancing can be difficult and all of that... But this is barely better than having a skill that doesn't do anything at all. I don't see anything comparably bad in any other skill line. Even if the armour bonus was quadrupled it would still be marginal, so why does this skill exist?
If this skill does scale to 4-5x its effect with leveling then I can see it being semi-useful, but when you're looking at putting a skyshard into it and using up a slot for an extra <1% damage mitigation, I'm really not feeling it. Am I missing something here?
