NB healers are welcome in trials or just templars?

Not sure, but I tried to heal Veteran Crypt of Hearts on my NB yesterday, and it was a COLOSSAL failure.

Our tank kind of had tunnel vision, and both of our DPS were melee and pretty squishy, but I can't help but think it was mostly because I just couldn't keep up.

I'd like some input here, as well from someone who knows what they're doing.

Are your NB fully driven to healing? Or just a hybrid character with two sets of gear?

Leveling a NB healer, healed a v12 scale vet dungeon when v2 myself and that was without an offhealer in team (may have been darkshade cavern or wayrest sewer, can't remember anymore). Also, she is doing relatively nice dps alongside the heals already. It feels like it is definitely going to be material for speedy runs with magika DDs. Only thing is that bad team players can make it a nightmare, such as max range snipers or other soloists, but that's pretty much the same with all healing other than BoL.

Nb heals get uniqueness and strength from high critical dmg/healing and thaumaturge boosting funnel to very impressive numbers. How it will perform in a large group I do not know yet personally. There will always be lots of people who feel the need to promote templar superiority, but there ARE viable alternative ways to heal.

Nightblades are close to templars but lose in few areas. Differences:
    - Templar has greater healing range and can push higher HPS. This alone makes templars preferred trial healers.
    - Nightblades have better resource management and do healing while doing damage.
    - Templars have stamina stick to support tanks and stamina DDs.
With enough skill you can do it as NB, but if you roll a templar you would be even better. But as a nightblade, i think our best role is hybrid DD/healer. Heck, i have an alt that is NB tank/DD/healz...

My group usually has two templar main healers and I as NB mage am a hybrid DD/healer. I think this is the best role setup. Nothing compares to templars when 12 scattered people need healing. But in reality even templars use Healing Springs to save mana, so most of time you are on equal terms. I can replace either if they die and return back to DD when they are back. I am 80% of time doing DD and 20% as healer.

In high damage phases like Warrior white rain and Serpent poison we stack and i drop Veil and spam Illustrious Healing. I can go Mantikora downstairs and heal there and DD because it is a DPS race, while main healers stay upstairs. In AA i can heal the third group. In SO mobs i plunge into frontline while healers stay a bit back and just with Sap Essence push into thickest trollfest 30k AoEDPS and 15k HPS endlessly.

For smaller 4person groups nightblades can be their main healer. Make a minmaxed high spelldamage, high mana build. Over 2k spell damage, over 30k mana. Anything less and don't even try.

Put resto staff as your second weapon. Your main bar should have Funnel Health and Sap Essence. Most of the time in good groups these two are all you need for healing. They pump considerable healing and because your group does great damage there is less need for heals. But watch health bars and be ready to switch to resto.

Use e.g. this resto bar: Rapid Regeneration, Illustrious Healing, Healing Ward, Siphoning Attacks, Inner Light. The morphs you choose are not so important. Use RR occasionally. Use IH on tank or other ally receiving the highest damage. If any health bar drops, spam HW until you get it on yourself. The Healing Ward is really your way to compensate lack of templar Breath of Life. IH gives the raw healing power over time but HW gives undirected range and immediately protects the one in greatest danger.

@milesrodneymcneely2_ESO , vCoH is doable, and i do it regularly in all three roles. It has several mechanics. Usually it fails because of these mechanics. It is best to learn it in stable group with Teamspeak. There are four bosses to learn, so it will take time. There are damages which no healer can heal, and everybody needs to learn to avoid them. Check the walk-throughs, but basically they all fall to don't-stand-in-red.

I would like a NB healer in Sanctum on the last boss, so he can do ultis on poison phase alone.

NB Healer is harder to play and your group needs better positioning.

Meaning, If you mainly play with randoms, it will be a freaking disaster because other players are too dumb to stay in your healingrange ;)

If you play with friends and they know how to act with you as healer, then go for it :)

Just make sure that you either pick a Breton(For magicka DD) or a Redguard/Imperial(For Stam DD) in case you want to switch

Well, the purest heals will always be the Templars and with most groups in trials or VDSA it's highly recommended to get a Templar. But with a very good group, where everyone know what to do and wht not to do, a NB healer actually becomes really valuable since it's damage output is really high while healing.

So yeah I think it's possible, but only if you are very good and the others are very good. What you will only find in guilds, if you plan on running with PUG's fr the high endgame content it could become pretty difficult.

But if you really want to make a NB healer, why not right?
