As there is no place to post on General topics I will place it there:
[SNIP] YOU ZENIMAX FOR THAT INVISIBLE WALL ON THAT BRIDGE!
I wasted like 2 hours trying to pass through that damn place. I learned how to jump through 2/3 of the bridge with 100% success rate. I watched Youtube videos from beta with a successful attempts. I was absolutely sure it can be done, and it is me doing something wrong.
Finally when I tried all angles and positions on the last available plank, which is a little darker than others (and which I'll see tonight in a nightmares) I had to admit that it is a complete waste of time. Why the hell you did it? It was passable in Beta. It meant no harm to the balance and gameplay. It was a little personal achievement for dedicated explorers. It was a challenge. Just a place for a screenshot you can really show and "wow".
I think I have to say "thanks"for that to those noobs which died from Piranhas under the second bridge in the Beta.
If you wants to prevent players from getting there - why you left all the planks in their solid form? They just lure you to jump over them if you don't fall through. It is like a cheat. Make that wall in front of the bridge, all make planks non-physic like a ropes of that bridge at least..
Bah. Gotta get back to the railways of "free exploration" of other places

P.S. You may consider that as a "Guide" for new players. No need to thank me for saving you half an hour of your life if you had a thought to get through that bridge.
P.P.S. The Bright side of that - I farmed like 20 chests because there are 2 spots there and like 100 iron ores (2 spawning spots there as well)

Tobiz✭✭✭Yeah I made many attempts trying to cross that jump, but never made it.Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.0 -
Krivasran✭✭✭Many of us have made it across the bridge, and given praise to our seagull lord who sits upon the rock most grand. So I'm not insane, there really is an invisible wall. I keep jumping that last jump and... I bounce back off nothing. Sometimes I slide to the right into the water, other times I just fall back through the planks, but I can't find a way over that wall. It makes me a sad panda.
Well, I finally figured it out. Go far to the right, jump, and you might clear the invisible wall. Still, ugh. No sense of accomplishment.Edited by Earthwardzilvox_ESO on 3 May 2014 01:48Bright light casts a long shadow0 -
Belrim✭✭✭Did it in beta, tried few times in pre-access, and found that the jump mechanics have been changed, one of the boards is veeeeery slippery, always falling off. Oh well, since theres nothing on the other side, the beta success is ennough for me.
Better luck to Zeni on their next attempt to create a hard-to-get-to interesting place.Early bird gets the worm, but second mouse gets the cheese.0 -
I would expect a generous reward or title after such a difficult feat. I think that if this was intended as a jumping puzzle, it should be nerfed. If not, there should be some way to make that clear to passers-by. Leaving it in its current state is a clear indication of blatant disregard for the feelings of your (shrinking) subscriber base.1

Screenies were taken May 20th, 2015, so yes it is still possible to get across that bridge. There's a seagull and a different perspective on the scenery, very pretty! Mostly it was just fun to conquer the bridge
Hug the higher, right side of the bridge the whole way. Get on your horse! I never made it on foot, but on my horse it was easy. When you get to the invisible wall, jump, but keep the horse steady facing straight ahead. Takes a few tries to get a feel for jumping the wall, easy to go off to the right.May all beings have happiness
