I havent played ESO since before it went b2p. Just now logging on to try things out again and await the console transfer.
I know a lot has changed in the past months with combat balance and abilities, I've gone through some of them in-game (when they first talked about blade cloak for dual wield it had no area damage portion to it), but I'm curious what current opinions on the state of combat mechanics and balances are.
What are the preferred dps loadouts for pvp? pve? Back in the day my nightblade ran 2h + bow, and still is, but it seems much improved now. My bow fires faster, my uppercuts chain together and do a lot more damage now, I can use rally to boost bow damage, I never seem to run out of stamina. How does dual wield hold up nowdays in comparison? Also curious if I'm better off keeping the bow or going 2h + dual wield (or even 2h + 1h/shield).
How are caster/healer templars doing nowdays? Havent gotten around to trying out the new radiant destruction yet, but it looks like some things have changed with restoration staves as well (and the animations, loving the new stances). My templar runs 5 light/2heavy with a fire staff and resto staff, still a good pairing?
Lastly, I had a dragonknight 7 heavy 1h/shield tank I was levelling up before I stopped playing, but it seems like 1h/shield hasnt really gotten any improvements, and dragonknights have taken some hits to some abilities and boosts to others. Notably it looks like a dual wield 7 medium dragonknight would be able to put down some serious area damage now.
Just looking for any tidbits of info from people that have kept playing to get me caught back up.
