Magika DK x Magika Templar

Hello guys, um thinking to roll a magika build for pvp, but cant chose by be a magika DK or a magika templar, and im evan thinking about a magika NB.. hehe, so hard to chose.

you guys could help me saying who is best in which situation? who is better with dps, and who walk better with survival, who is better in burst and who is best tanking, things like that. I would like to understand the maximum possible through of you on each of the calsses, their roles in pvp and the potential of each of the classes. Who is the best walking alone ... who is the best against zerg. or any experience that they can share =]

one of the main ideas was to make an imperial templar, with the bubble shield, to be able to tanking and dps the same time, but I'm not sure if this would work, or if another race would be better in a build of magic (or Breton Altmer) so I am open to listen to the opinion about the other classes in builds of magika

Stamina builds FTW, its the new meta now, finally.

Although sorcs are doing well in PvP atm as well, with varying templars/dks who know what they are doing.

No NB magica build got best survivability in game.
DK magica and Templar magica almost need vampire to get high survability, i guess its possible other way. But we don't have the tools Sorcs and NB has to get away as magica build.

You cant be tanky and keep your dps as a magicka templar. Very little dps in a templar tank build. You can however be tanky and do moderate healing and support, as a magicka templar. Great build for small group PvP. Worse in the game for solo'ing.

DK tanks has annoying CC and moderate dps. Not high, but noticeable enough to eventually hurt. They also have slightly better survivability solo. But they're also better of in a group.

It's just how 1.6 is designed. You cant tank other players for very long, not in a traditional sense. Stuff hits to hard, while most of your encounters will be groups or even zergs. That cannot be tanked, doesn't matter if DK tank or tankplar, you still melt. Need to avoid the dmg entirely, with kiting, mobility and escapes. Jump in fast with burst to get a kill, than bugger of. That is, if you want to solo roam.

If you want a magicka build with high dps and survivability for running around solo, you should play sorc. If you want a stamina build for solo roam, go NB.

Than again stuff might change next major patch. It's a total lottery. Trying to find the "best" after every major patch, requires one of each class and race changes lol. Might as well just go with a class you enjoy.

so.. if the NB get a best survive from this 3 class in a magika build, who get the best damage?? burst or sustain, DK or NB?? thx again guys

NB = best burst dmg, good survivability (if not excellent) and some nice skills in group play (fear... *** hate that ***

DK = very good tank + pretty decent dps (block casting flame lash anyone?)

Templar = they took a serious beating by the nerf bat... good for group play (necessary even with their heals). Solo... very hard

I will say this though. Right after 1.6 sorcs were deemed OP as ***. They still are but now NB has taken the crown of OP'ness (without any major updates or content changes). People are still making and testing builds. After a major update... Who knows who will get hit in the face by the nerf bat.

I still play my templar as my main (instead of my sorc). I've been trying so many bloody builds. I've noticed that you have to look away from sunshield/blazingshield/radiant ward. Got nerfed too bad.

Currently I'm using a perma blocking build with only 20k health. Got my spell dmg + magicka up high enough for 9k BoL heals without any sets or CP specced for healing tho. Also rocking 5 piece heavy. Got CP into block reduction cost and 1 enchant for block reduction. Also using S&b + temp passives for blocking.

The combination of blocking + HA + 7-9K BoL lets me tank a good amount of dmg (sometimes bordering insane). BoL is quite spammable as well. Lets me position myself at the front with the melee DPS and the tanks. Throwing out heals/blazing spears and taking a beating (diverting dmg from other players). It is good for group play. Still tweaking the build tho.

My point in general: play what you want and find something that works.

now i cant chose by a magika DK or a magika NB... some players are telling me that a Dummer DK with molten weapon can hit realy hard with a heavy atack, can get realy close to a hit kill, and by be a vampire, the myst form + dragon blood + reflective scales can bring what i need to run or survive.. BU, be a Magika NB with lots of self heal and the cloack to keep desapearing and trolling my enemys sounds so good to, but by the other way, some players told me the a magika NB will deal more burst damage compared to this heavy fire staff atacks from a DK................ realy realy hard to chose =[. i will stay here for some more replys

If you plan to solo probably nb for the option to escape a zerg.
