Best build to survive and/or get away?

What is a really great build that is just frustrating to try to kill. I love PvP, but I believe in running away to live another day.

So I am not worried with dps or anything, just a build that is the hardest to kill in pvp? Or one that can escape 9 times out of 10 assuming you are jumped 5 on 1 unexpected.

Actually DKs and or Templars can run away too with mist form (if the attacking party is not too large).

NB's with medium and the right set's can end up being very slippery and that's without using cloak. I'd say NB's would be number 1 from what you've said, although you wouldn't underestimate a bolting sorc either.

Most of 'getting away' is not getting caught in gap-closer range to begin with. It's about positioning and situational awareness. At the very least, don't be the guy the zergleader tab-targets to be next.

That said, the best classes to be slippery are nightblade, sorc or any class with vampire.

Nothing in this game, seriously nothing beats shadow image.
They follow you, you're gone. They don't, you're gone.
Even if one guy stands on the shadow waiting for you, just place a new one or use cloak and rolling combinations.
Killing this guy quickly is also an option.

I use my shadow slave mostly on gates, in tower, on walls, rocks or basically everywhere to have a save point to go out of combat.
Together with Whitestrake and a fairly amount of Magicka I'm nearly immortal, at least if cloak doesn't bug out or my enemys are actually thinking..

Yap, if you want to run go for NB.

As an altoholic I raise and love all classes ;-) Here are some my thoughts on the topic from that perspective:

Escaping:
From my experience, NB has by far the best escape capabilities in the game. Sorc is pretty good too, though Bolt Escape costs a lot of resources and everyone can easily spot direction where Sorc goes, while NB can just disappear.
Other classes could get a decent escape abilities by investing in some medium sets or Vampire skill line.

Surviving:
For me surviving is about two things:
1. Stacking-up passive mitigation means (armor, resistance) so you cannot be one-shot and still not spending much resources on shielding and healing. There are many ways to do it for every class - some heavy and Nirhoned armor pieces would help a lot.
2. Managing key resource (magicka or stamina depending on build) so the attacker would burn his resource pool faster.

NB or Sorc definatly.

A Sorc with massive magica regen can BoL forever, and is hard to catch extremly ... buut still can be cought by some builds.

A skilled NB using cloak,bow,dodges and sneak correctly .... just wow,

They can get away ganking 1 person where 5 are close and get away with it, repeatedly.

Soooooo NB is the winner, with Sorcs strong second place.

Templar and DK is forced to be vampires, then both stamina escaping and Mistform works ok, but still not close to 2 above.

Mistform is no viable escape. In zerg fights you may get away if opponents just focus on other targets. But if a grip really wants to kill you, you can't get away with mistform.

Used to be possible with Maneuver and mistform stacking speed, but now you are way too slow to get away. Given that you regenerate magica while using mistform you will run oom fast too

More isn't needed to survive a lot.

Just use a NB.

Since you only care about surviving just use whatever skills you like but make sure you have enough magicka / regen to use shadow image / dark cloak to escape any sticky situations. Also, slot Purge to get rid of any marks that might leave you vulnerable while invisible.

Orc (10%), sorc (40% boundles storm), bow (30% hasty retreat) and steed (5%?). Use divines on armor and pop boundless armor and dodge roll. Boom you're gone.
