Patch 2.0.8 Valkyn Skoria now scales off Stamina?

All item sets now scale off your character’s highest stats, just like Ultimate abilities.

Ummmm... is that what I think it means? Valkyn Skoria will now scale off Stamina or Magic- instead of soley based on magic?

To be correct it scales off weapon or spell damage, not your maximum magicka / stamina. But yes, if your weapon damage is higher than your spell damage skoria will use that.

Valkyn Skoria's damage scale on the set level, not on the magicka/stamina pool or on weapon/spell damage. But because the meteor can crit, they now scale on magicka or physical crit (only on magicka crit before).

It always tough to decipher exactly what they intend without hard numbers and testing but this is IMHO correct from what I interpreted from the patch note and additional follow-up clarification from Gina.

It scales not of weapon/spelldmg. It scales of items level.

BUT it scales only of spell penetration and NOT armor penetration which sucks for stramina build. But at least they fixed the critical rate for Stamina builds finally.
