Dummer as a Dk tank ?

I'm trying a DK tank but I'll probably play a lot as a caster also wich is great as dummer but would it gimp me hat much over beeing imperial (wich is a race I wouldn't mind playing).
I probably won't play a lot at vr14+ rank so performance while leveling is kinda important to me.
