Valkyn/Nerienth set scale only off spellcrit and not of the higher crit rate.

Why is it that Valkyn and Nerienth only scale of Spelldmg/Spellcrit and not Weapon dmg/crit? It is kinda a disadvantage for Stamina DDs. Please fix it.

Check out the pic, my Weap crit is around 55% and as you can see the crit rate of Nerienth is only 20%.
Also, I do like 2-4k less dmg as stamina build compared to a magicka build per hit because it scales only of spelldmg.

Good point. I hear Valkyn Skoria only scales off of spell damage as well, and not weapon damage - not sure if that's true. I kind of like the setup where it scales off of your more powerful resource pool, hopefully that is something that can be done.

Isnt Valkyn and Nerienth doing same dmg no matter how many Spelldmg you have?

THough I noticed that too on nerienth, it does less dmg than the tooltip says, but I am not sure if its bc enemies have armor

Unbelievable. I hope they fix that as well, that screws over any stamina build that uses the skoria set. I really hope they do something about that. Thanks for testing it!

If sets with stamina skill weapon-delivered damage bonuses (such as poison, if it exists) also don't scale off magicka, then this is balanced is it not?

If however this is an exception, it needs to be addressed.

In my personal opinion however, these particular sets should be resource-neutral in terms of performance but with appropriate rebalancing for the stamina-dominant dps regime we currently have so everyone gets the same bang for their buck.

Yes, the more spelldmg and spellcrit you have the more dmg and the more crits you will do. But it should also count same for weap dmg and weap crit but doesnt do so atm. Kinda favoring Magicka builds only to use those awesome set pieces.

Hahaha @Alcast spamming @ZOS_GinaBruno - still no response I assume?

I can verify I tested this and the meteors did more damage on crit with the Major Sorcery buff up versus having no Major Sorcery. So Valkyn scales off spell damage and spell critical for sure. It doesn't do a set amount of damage as the tooltip alludes.

IMO they should either be like ultimates and scale off your strongest stat or they should have a set damage irrespective of spell/weapon damage. If they can code this for ultimates then surely they can pop this into the Undaunted sets?

Did this change today? There's a patch note about armor sets now scaling off your best attributes, just like ultimates.

EDIT: Evidently, it will now use your best critical strike chance, at least.
