Molten Weapons Clarification

This post is directed towards the dev's. Molten Weapons tool tip reads " Charge your weapons with volcanic power to temporarily increase the damage of your heavy attack 41%, with damage increased further against low health target's". So my question is, does this include staves? It should, since their skill lines fall under the weapons category. Also MW doesn't provide a major or minor buff like sorcery, it just boosts heavy attack dmg by a percentage. A little clarification that this is either a bug or a more clear description of what it's supposed to do, like buff all heavy weapon attacks or just melee, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Ok, I just tested this out by using my axe and seeing if I got the increase to heavy dmg and I did, so it seems as though it was meant to buff only melee weapons heavy attacks. Please either move staves to their own category to avoid future instances such as this or make it clear on the tool tip that it only increases melee heavy weapons damage. Now I have to respec to get those skill points back since I have no use for that skill.

Yeah maybe they did that because a fire staff heavy attack would be way too strong with that skill, it already does a crapton of damage without it. With two-handed weapons I think it's fine because they are melee and very easy to avoid or block, and much easier to see them coming. With those weird new staff animations it's impossible to see any staff attacks coming.

It does boost at least resto & lightning destro, but it only increases damage of the last tick (by 40%) so it's not that effective with them. It also buffs bows (it can hit harder than snipe), so it's not only melee.

This still needs to be fixed months later. Seriously?

The amount of damage isn't relevant. Either the ability needs to affect all weapons, or say that it doesn't. If it affects only the last tick of heavy attack, it needs to say "full power heavy attacks" to clarify.

Molten Weapons works with fire staffs, to get the full damage your target needs to be under 50%-25% life, you'll notice this very fast.
MW works with all weapons but it works best with DD-damage (no ticks, no damage over time, etc. etc.

Tip: Combine Molten Weapons with other buffs that give +20% more damage (mage guild's Entropy for example: +20 weapon dmg / +20% general damage).

The tooltips of weapon proc effects seem not to have been updated for 1.6.x/2.0 as they still don't show the x10 damage numbers as skills. I hope this is a bug, cause most vr 14 weapons should add 3xxx damage and not just 300, which is too less in terms of normal proc damage.
