[Min/Max] DPS Sorc - Dark Elf or High Elf? Need some advice
Hi guys,
Just started playing ESO recently and I just wanted to make the right racial choice off the bat. In terms of min-maxing how much more gimped are Dark Elves compared to High Elves? I'm really not familiar with the cookie cutter top dps build right now but I assume it has something to do with lightning. Dark Elves don't get that 4% lightning damage bonus and magicka regen bonus that High Elves do but I was planning to make a vampiric Sorc so was hoping that the flame resist (and possible fire damage increase if there are high dps fire sorc builds out there) will make up for it.
Can someone give me advice? I'm fine with playing an altmer but I really want to play a dunmer because they just look cooler (and are less(?) racist). Thanks!

thanks. i guess my real question is - how important is that 10% magicka regen racial? i think i can live with the 4% lightning dps loss ib exchabge for a really cool look hehe0

✭If you mostly want to play in pve, forget the vampire. 40% more damage taken against half of the strongest enemies is very, very bad. At this moment, Altmer is better than Bosmer, due to a better elemental passive.
If you're focusing on pvp, so vampire can be a good choice, a fire resistance is a good choice, and more stamina is very good too. So Dunmer is the best.
All these two classes are good, so if you want a good choice but not THE better choice don't bother : take Dunmer if you prefer Dunmer.1 -
Bodycounter✭✭✭✭Dunmer is the better choice as long as you play with firestaff and/or want to be a vampire. Altmer may be slightly better in PvE, but Dunmer's fire resist is really big in PvP.
The overall strongest races in terms of passive traits are Imperials and Dunmer at the moment, Bosmer have strong synergy with stamina builds after their passive changes.Edited by Bodycounter on 9 May 2015 09:161
