Is Circle of Protection (Fighter's Guild skill) bugged?

I'm looking for creative ways to enhance my tanking ability, and picked up Circle of Protection from the Fighter's Guild line to try out. As soon as I put it down and checked my character's stats, I noticed that my Physical Resistance actually when DOWN by a very small amount (about 1% of my total). I don't know if the Protection Buff (8% damage reduction in this case) is supposed to be visible in our character stats, but I certainly didn't expect my armor rating to go down. Is this a bug, or is there some skill interaction going on that I can't detect? I'm wearing mostly heavy armor, with most of the passives from that line.

Hard to say. Pre-1.6 it was visible in the character sheet (and it gave the full amount, regardless of if the enemy was Daedric, non-daedric, or flat out non-existant)

As it relies on buffs now, there is no telling what is going on behind the scenes.

Screenshots of before and after (as well as Combat Log ouput) would go a long way towards getting this checked out.

It's not a armor/resistance buff, so it's logically no longer showed in your stat because stats don't show flat resistances. And it's work well, some healer in my guild use it pretty often, I just test it today.

I experienced this BuG as well before doing away with it on my bar. A lot of fun in groups for tank bow builds

I don't think the reduction is visible in your stats, just as Flawless Dawnbreaker passive didn't used to be visible on character sheet because it increased "the damage of your attacks" (or something like that) rather than "weapon damage."

But I am almost positive that CoP's 8% reduction works...or at least I hope so, because I use it in trials a lot.

The reduction bug does appear visually on your stats. It may only be the regen morph that does this.

OK this is weird, here is Ring of Preservation:

For some reason it gave me spell damage and took away 0.9% crit...in addition to the health recovery mentioned on the tooltip.

Well, the fact that they are changing at all seems to indicate that the ability is bugged, right?

well from my numbers it buffs and debuff my stats like crit and damage so their is a bug thier just haven't nailed it down

Yeah, same. It definitely needs some love, or at least an explanation of what the hell is going on.
