Immovable or Potions to counter stuns?

Just want to get some input from the rest of the PvP community on this. See what everyone else is doing and get some suggestions. So my Templar build is almost finalized to something I really enjoy playing. The problem I'm running into is whether to use the Heavy Armor skill Immovable or to run some potions with unstoppable and health and magika. On one end I get a boost to armor and spell resist and on the other I get a restore to health and magika plus a regen. Immovable gives me a 5 second immunity to stuns and the potion 15 seconds. I'm playing a magika focused Temp with 5 light and two heavy (chest/shoulders) so dumping some Stamina on Immovable wouldn't be too much of an issue because I should still have enough left to do some blocking/dodge rolling. I'm also running three glyphs for potion cool down on my rings and neck. Usually I survive like a beast until the NB and Sorc stuns and CCs start flying in. I want to work in something to counter this. I'll be trying out both later today but just want to get some input from everyone else on what they find works and if I'm overlooking a skill or something else that could help me out. Oh, also running S&B and Resto Staff for weapons. Thanks.

This, the only thing the ability is good for nowadays is the morph that reduces cost of CC break when slotted. And even then, its only if you have room for it.

I had considered using both actually but giving up that ability slot is what I'm really worried about. I had also thought about just running "Defensive Stance" to deal with Sorcs and their Crystal Shard Spamming and then use potions for all other forms of stun. We'll see, thanks for the input though.

Lesser cost to break free don't matter so much, since a mediocre sorc can kill you in those 3 up to 6 seconds that you pass on the ground. So, only way is keeping up your drink. If you level the relative crafting skill line, you can get a good passive skill for potions, find out which one! :)

Casting Immovable only gets you 5 secs worth of immunity (literally by the time the animation of casting it is over you have 1 second of immunity left..its stupid)..good luck reading the mind of another player and decyphering when they'll cast fear. On the other hand..you can always max your stamina/regen and still not have enough stamina to cast immovable enough times to counter an NBs ability to spam fear.

I tried using Immovable tonight to counter a fear spamming NB and that's the fastest I have EVER seen my stam go down. Best is to take the fear and break free.imho(as fast as you can)

Immovable potions(health-stamina ones) and channeled focus are best for me

Ya, I don't think I'll use it, thankfully I'm an Alchemist by trade so I'll just make the potions I need. Thanks for the input.

I completely over looked Channeled Focus. I was having a rough time keeping my Magika up with S&B, this actually fits right in there perfectly. I have no idea how I've overlooked that skill for so long. Guess I just never looked at the morph for it. That's why we post questions on the forums :) . Thanks much for this, probably would have kept it locked away for who knows how long if you didn't mention it. Much appreciated.

I use the 5 piece set bonus of the Arena set to help me manage my stamina in my healing/support build since it's the least stat I've focused on. You may want to try this option in addition to the above suggestions and see if it helps you more.

The break free reduction from immovable is nice along with the buff to armour and spell resist.

@Tankqull Ya. I'm actually working on leveling the "Spider Sense" skill line as we speak. I really like the morph to the "Kick to the ***" skill that redirects the infinite CCs back at the enemy Zerg. On a serious note though, you can only have so much SA when you are fighting a 20+ vs 20+ battle. If the lag doesn't get you, there will ALWAYS be a hidden NB or other enemy roaming the outside of the battle picking people off. @Soris thanks for reminding Tankqull about the Spider Sense skill line, I'm sure he/she has maxed it out already though.@spangla I'm actually running that now just for that reason. Also thanks to everyone else who had a meaningful response to my thread. We can't all be PRO.

I will be honest, I did not read the entire post, but i think you should go with potions. the potions last over twice as long AND you can get resources back depending on the potion.

sad time we live in where a potion is better than the actual ability:(
