which is currently the best class to play NB or DK

Hi all

I'm returning to the game after a long lay of and was wondering which class is best to play I will most likely be playing alone at first but plan to group up later. I will be dps all the way so which is best NB or DK and if you could give some build advice it would be a great help.

Stamina DPS - Nightblade
Magicka DPS - Dragonknight.

Everyone is always praising stamina DK, but to be honest most of a Stamina DK's DPS comes from non-DK skills, kind of rendering it a moot point to role a DK. Most DK DPS characters I see are Magicka users with Valkyn Skoria.

Nightblades from my understanding lack Magicka DPS because most of their DPS skills were converted into stamina morphs. I can't really comment though, I only have a low level Nightblade alt, and he's stamina focused.

Race matters. Don't let anyone ever tell you it doesn't.

For Stamina:
Imperial or Redguard. Maybe Bosmer or Khajiit if you're crit focused.

For Magicka:
Breton or Altmer. Unless you're a DK, in which case Dunmer all the way.

Altmer for DK, they also get a boost to fire and they're max magicka passive is stronger which tends to make up for it. Altmer for DK DPS if you're going strictly non PvP oriented as the +stamina passive Dunmer's get is useless outside of PvP in 99% of scenarios. Besides, Altmer can get 36k max magicka. AND the bonus to elemental damage.

I dunno the actual numbers but odds are Altmer is either .00001% above Dunmer DPS or .00001% below, due to max magicka contributing to damage and them getting more of it.

I get what you are saying, but I think NB do not use any of their stamina morphs in PVE DPS, while DKs use their stamina DOTs. I know little about NB outside of PVP (and even then just from facing them and watching videos) but just looking at their stamina morphs, I see none that translate well to PVE DPS that don't already have a better alternative somewhere else.

Are you serious? Killers Blade, Surprise Attack and Ambush.

The best morphs for three of the Nightblades best DPS abilities are stamina...
