Issues getting to 20k health

Hi guys,

I am returning to ESO after several months away. I have 2 vr14 characters (altmer sorc and breton templar). I am working on a magika base buid for both (sorc for dps and templar for heals). The problem is that I read around people saying that it is pretty straight forward to get to 20k health. I even got together to a guildmate that has a breton templar and he told me that he put 40 points in magika and 22 in health, getting to a bit over 20k with the food buff (health+magika). If I do the same with my templar I get to 16k health only. Can somebody please help me to identify what am I missing?

Thanks!

do u wear one of each type of armor to get all the undaunted health/mana/stamina passives on your templar?
do u use structured entropy for your templar, not needed on mine though, due to it being a imperial

Infused trait on armor, which gets better the higher quality the armor is.

    Everything into health
    Infused trait in armor
    Structured entropy
Undaunted passive (the only one I don't have... yet)

    I'm sitting on 22K health.
Now... the fact that Im a crispy ass light armor wearing vampire makes me squishy testifies to the fact I need all that haha! :D

Can you maybe list the gear your wearing? 16k seems really low with buff food.

Considering a food buff is around 4k, it means your at 12k?

I dont think thats possible, even without points in health and any enchants on your armour

Hi, thanks for all the replies.

Yes, I am sitting exactly at 12115 health without food buffs (this is putting 22 points in Health and 40 in Magika).

For my breton templar healer I am using 7 light pieces, all v13 or v14. The sets are basically 5 healer and 5 seducer and I have +Magika enchants in all pieces. Jewelery enchants are all reduce magika cost.

    Any thoughts?

    • Use The Lord mundus stone
    • Infused traits on 2pcs (Legs, and Chest) Max health enchant on those two pieces, the rest divines for Lord bonus
That should help bring you close to par!

Have you spent any champion points? The ones in Warrior should bring your health a little closer to 13k with 20ish points in health.

I suppose to be on the safer side, maybe 45ish points into health and those times you want to cushion health, slot Structured Entropy for both its major sorcery and the health bonus.

Alternatively you can just readjust your attribute allocation. I have 40/22 health/magicka and all magicka enchantments, and with food i end up with 20k health 27k magicka (after struc entropy and mage light).

This is odd. My VR1 NB is at 15k health with Structured Entropy, health enchants on big pieces and 30-40 (don't remember offhand) attribute points in health. That's before food buff. 12k sounds extremely low.

Armor sets and enchantments are your best friends. I have a level 44 Imperial templar who has already passed the 20k health mark without using any food and all of my attributes are evenly distributed, so if you're having difficulty reaching 20k at VR 14 then it may be an armor set/enchantment issue. However, if you're also trying to have a magicka build then you will have to make some sacrifices to reach your 20k goal. Invest in health enchantments, choose multiple sets which increase max health for as little required pieces as possible, and choose the lord boon. Again, be prepared to make compromises on your magicka build if you want to reach 20k health.

    of course it is.

im 7/7 med stam DK PvP build with Warrior mundus, all stam enchant, stat on stam points, stam regen, hunding's and ashen grip gears. (ok, usually i run around with Ravaging to get a bit more HP).

my unbuffed is barely 14k at VR14. Not a problem in PvP coz iwth buff and food im around 21~22k.

and i can hit wrecking blow from stealth at 26k......

    @leth888 basically this:

    You need to have:
    1. 5 pc. light armor and 2pc. heavy or
    2. 5pc. light, 1pc. med and 1 pc. heavy

Then you will need your undaunted skill to lvl 9 and unlock the "undaunted mettle" passive for:
    1. a 4% increase to max HP, mag and stam if wearing 5pc. light and 2pc. heavy or
    2. a 6% increase to max HP, mag and stam if wearing 5pc. light, 1pc. med and 1pc. heavy.

Mages Guild skills are your friend:
    1. Use Structured Entropy on both your bars for a 8% increase to max health.
    2. The "Magicka controller" passive increases max magicka by 2% for each mages skill slotted so one of your bars should include innerlight, structured entropy and shooting star.
    3. Innerlight will passively increase your max mag by 5%.

Once this is all in place eat blue v10 mag and HP food and begin to put attribute points into HP until your at 20k. Put the rest into mag.

Although helpful, no additional mundus, champion points or HP enchants are necessary to achieve the 20k HP max you're looking for.

Your mundus should be the mage or apprentice for your sorc. temp the increase to healing (I forget the name) or the mage.

All armor magicka enchants. infused trait on head, leg and chest, divines on the rest. Upgrade to purple.

weapons with absorb magicka for templar with precise (resto staff, 2H or DW). lightning enchant for sorc with precise or sharpened trait (one lighting staff for AoE/one inferno for single target).

Let me know if you have more questions and Happy hunting!

So if I run, say, Crypts of Heart 10x today, cleared all challenges, etc.... only the 1st run can increase my Undaunted?

Only if that first run was the pledge for the day.

You'll get undaunted XP for the pledge, and for each challenge cleared. If you clear all the challenges in the first run you won't gain any undaunted xp for the subsequent. You will gain points towards other challenges though, like the mob specific kill achievements, total dmg/heal/block achievements, etc. which can unlocked give undaunted xp. You don't undaunted XP from grinding a dungeon over and over, but only when you get an achievement or complete a pledge.

The veteran quest of each dungeon, normal quest for each dungeon, vet pledge, normal pledge and achievements. If you have already completed all the dungeon quests then the 2 daily pledges (vet and normal) and achievements are the only source of undaunted XP.

It's slow going but you can scale the normal pledge to whatever level for a cake walk to make it a little easier.

Yeah this seems really low. Did you check passives in all trees? Racials, armor, ect? V10 food not v5? Even with no gear on and no attribute points you should be around 14-15k I think. Very puzzling :/

If my Nord is fully naked, I'm at 12k HP with all points in Stamina and Warrior Mundus.

With head, chest, and legs infused, 3-piece ashen grip, and all purple health glyphs, I sit around 16k.
