Heavy Armor Damage Bonus

I could've sworn in the past, heavy has a +melee damage bonus. Like 1% per piece or something.

I don't see it anymore. It's been a while since I've gone full Medium and only 2 Heavy, but when did this ends?

1.6. It went away as well as the break free cost reduction being tied to heavy. Think you can choose one or the other in immovable

So everyone knows Heavies suck. So ZOS promised they'll improve them one way or another in the next patch.

So they took away the damage bonus?

Yea it sucks, but IIRC in the early 1.6 PTS Heavy armor was outperforming Medium because of its survivability and boost to damage. The main benefit to Heavy though was that it now increases spell resistance for the same value of armor it provides. Heavy armor with reinforced trait is great for all mitigation, not just physical.

So your armor value now (live) is affecting both physical and spell resistance?

yes. its a 1/1 ratio, with the hard cap being 32K i think.
