Repairs

I wish they added the option to repair the damage to our equipment through our professions. I will not encounter sense to pay for something I can do myself. Furthermore immersion is lost in the game to make repairs something as fast and hardly noticeable.

This addition would be optional, those who want to stick with the traditional system could. Also could be offered as a service to other players, in these cases where one is far from a workstation could invoke one for a limited time by purchasing a token with gold or crowns.

Actually, this sounds pretty cool. Reminds me of the good old times in Morrowind.
As long as the hammers stack up to 200, I'm fine with it.. and thank The Eight the weight of items doesn't count in ESO ;)

While that sounds cool it doesn't work well in online games cause they want to create a gold sink....BUT if we could so to speak repair for the same cost by means of crafting a repair kit that cost $ then that would work.....

OH wait....you can already buy repair kits
    (Sarcasm)

It's not s bad idea but it's not something that MMO's offer other than a kit or interaction for the same cost player to player as player to NPC

Gold collection can be solved by discounting gold per piece repaired by way of costs of materials. Such repairs can encourage interaction between players and would be a valuable addition to the role.

Rather than repair kit could sell tokens to invoke a portable work station in remote locations.

This has been suggested many times before. While the idea has appeal, it probably will never happen because it is one of the best gold sinks in the game. Really, repairs should be used sparingly until you get to end game armor. Before that, it may be better to just make a higher level armor. This expense is the only one I would use regardless of other circumstances. If I wasn't buying recipes, it would be my only expense. I doubt I'm the only VR14 like this.

There is a CP bonus that reduces repair cost 10%, though IIRC it's at 75 CP. And though equipment writs are problematic, repair kits drop frequently. I have a stack of them that I dip into at times.

Gold sink can be maintained. This new option will add more depth to the game where everything you do requires a visible action to substantiate what you are doing. pay gold for a complete rebuild of one second without any kind of action involved me boring and attentive against the roles in the game.
