Best PVE Duo?

Hello me and my wife have started to play now that we have more time and there is no sub since we bought the game and subbed previously.
We have a few characters we played around with but nothing over level 17 and have found that world bosses and group dungeons are not really something we are able to do.

What Duo would be able to complete all the harder PVE content like world bosses, dungeons etc.
We always play the same race as a Duo and never PVP as well as not having any guild or high level characters to twink out new ones.

So what two classes/race (non Imperial) would you recommend to Duo (Just us two) all the PVE content?

Any specifics on the skill/weapon/armor lines would be very helpful as well and thank you for you information.

With a pure tank build and healing class would you have enough DPS to kill harder content?
    What skill lines?

I played ESO vet content on my Altmer Templar with a DK friend before the original nerf last summer, and we never had any issues with killing bosses due to lack of DPS. Even Craglorn content we managed to duo some of the 4 ppl quests, though later ran with another couple of people as some could not be duoed. Other than that, no problems. DK and Templar are winning team.

My husband and I have been playing duo since launch, we have tried every combination of classes, they can all work. Our V14s are Nightblade and Sorcerer.

Really, its all about learning one anothers play style and making sure at least one of you can dish out some heals. The only thing we cant do as a duo is the major 4 man dungeons, (though i believe we could do it with 3), we can easily take on Craglorn and any bosses.

I was looking at some of the guides around the web and most of them are outdated so I asked in game allot tonight and I was told that this last patch favors stamina based builds and that I should keep that in mind.

The most common recommendations so far is a DPS Dark Knight and a Healing Sorcerer or a Tank Knight blade and a Healing Sorcerer. I can relate to the kill it fast and you wont need as much healing idea and that with these two we would need a third or forth for dungeons.

I also was told that a Tank and Healing spec'ed Templar would be my best bet for durability. As well as a Tank and Healing spec'ed Knight blade for the best all around Duo.

Our goal was to do the main quest line but hit up all skill point based content vs doing all the quests. That means doing world mobs, dungeons and exploration in area's we will be under leveled for.

So of anyone can inform us or point us to a current detailed build guide for our intended play it will be much appreciated.

    Thanks again.

Now all the classess can do almost all non-craglorn PvE content solo (exept of group dngns). If you have good build soloing dolmens, WB and public dngns is not a problem. And duo all these can be done easily. So really you can play any class the questions is to have efficient builds.

So there are two types of "Dungeons"?
Group (4 man level scaling) and Dolmens ( Open dungeons), I thought the skill point based dungeons were group only and the others were just quest based normal difficulty locations.?

Are there any two classes that have the best synergy or that can start or complete the special group skills (forget the name of those)?

    No there are:
    1. group dngns (for a group of 4, quest, skillpoint at the end)
    2. public dngns (they are like delves opened for all but have large groups of common mobs, several bosses, 2 quests, group challenge boss where you can earn skill point) like crow's world, deadman's hollow, toothmaul gully.
    3. dolmens (not dngns, no skillpoint)

You need a healer/tank for most situations, Templars can do both.
The other thing you need is damage, any other class would do fine.

The benefit of Templar + DK is that you can both switch between tanking en dps.
Templar + sorc is also a good combination because sorcs have pets which can be used to tank.

Breton Templar with resto/S&B (magicka build) 5LA/2HA.
    Altmer/Dunmer DK with destro/S&B (magicka build) 5LA/2MA or 2H/S&B (stamina build) 5MA/2LA.

Most good builds will allow you to solo dolmens, public dungeons and world bosses so with the two of you it shouldnt be a problem at all. Even as sorc I can solo 4 man craglorn dungeon bosses, it comes down to a good build and some player skill. For good class builds you can check Deltia's Gaming site btw.

Whichever combo you go for I would suggest that one of them is a Templar... aside from all the other hundreds of reasons listed above I have one more:

    Breath of Life.

When trying to complete content designed for more than two people you ARE going to get into a few sticky situations... and this will save you and allow you to complete it! There is nothing in any other classes arsenal which will come close.

DK and Templar are definitely the most powerful classes right now. Although as most have said you will have no problems with any 2 classes together even if they are the same like NB/NB.

I think DK/NB or DK/Temp are both strong duos. DK and anything really. As long as the other class is prepared to equip a resto.

I leveled up my NB with a DK and it went from level 3 to v14 in 3 days and 16 hours. (Granted grinding was a thing)

My wife and I teamed up for the game also. I was a Templar/tank/heals and she is a petless Sorcerer. You could also get a Clanfear to help out as they are improved now. We had a lot of fun playing this way and could pretty much take anything on outside of a public dungeon as the bosses/mobs there were too much for 2 people.

Honestly, one of the two classes should be a Templar. For the other, you can take your pick. Sorcerer with pets gives you a quasi four man group. DK can DPS or tank, depending on how you use the Templar. NB stamina builds can have great burst and eliminate enemies fast. Whatever you choose, though, two Templar skills are going to make your life much easier.

    1. Breath of Life (It's been mentioned by others here)
    2. Repentance (FREE HEAL)

Those two skills, all on their own, can literally make your duo. Hell, a single Templar tank by herself can solo pretty much anything in the game. And because Repentance works off dead bodies, a partner with high DPS is only going to make it so you get back health and stamina faster.

My brother and I, he a DK DPS and me a Templar tank, both agreed that Craglorn's difficulty is really meant for 2 people, not a 4 man group. We were actually really frustrated because several quests require 3-4 people to activate a shrine or push stone slabs. So keep that in mind.

My wife and I play together a lot, while leveling up best bet is a magicka templar for healing and dps, and a stamina dk or nb for dps and tanking.

The Public Delves/Dungeons can be done with your group of 2 and others going through it at various times. Unless you want to group with others for it, either way it should be fine to do. The "Group" only normal dungeons require 4 people to clear them. You can pretty much do this with any four people with a decent healer. All of these will give you skill points also. Veteran dungeons are different and call for more specific roles. Mainly a Tank and main healer. To get the easiest groups together you two would want to create a main Healer and a main Tank. These two are generally the hardest ones to get for groups. You can easily complete the group with any two DPS spec'd people.

So 1 Templar Healer and one Tank(DK, Templar or NIghtblade) are you best bet. Having those two will make your leveling easier as well as putting groups together for the End Game Content Normal/Vet Dungeons.

Thank you all for your help and information.
We made a bunch of alts and looked at the skill trees etc. to get a idea of what would suit us best.

Since we will not be able to do most of the 4 man dungeons due to specific requirements as a Duo we decided to look for a more well rounded Duo/Build.

We found that we had the most fun while still being able to clear tougher content as a Tank/Heal spec'ed Duo of Knight Blades. After watching some game guides online and the help from the community we think we can do almost all of the content we would like as this Duo.

We have the basics of the builds and guide on leveling so I think we are off to a good start.
I think the other forum category would be more appropriate for specific details so I will look to that rather than continue here.

Again thank you for all the help/info.
