Ability scaling

Ok could someone explain to me how the abilities scale... At launch it was class abilities magicka. weapon abilities stamina. or something like that. now i understand lots has changed and when i finally thought i figured it out. a guild member told me that class abilities scale of weapon damage as well? could someone just properly explain it XD thanks in advance.

    Class skills can have magicak or stamina morphs.
    Stamina morphs work of stamina + weapon damage
    Magicka morphs work of magicka + spell damage.

    The exception is with weapons.
    Staffs [and only staffs] work off magicka and increase spell damage.
    At least the was the concept....reality is slightly different.

    So yes
    1. magicka builds should be using class magicka morphs + magicka + staffs
    2. stamina builds should be using class stamina morphs + stamina + other weapons.
    At least that was the intent

    You can mix and match at the price of spell/weapon damage....but it can often help being able to burn through one resource and then switch enabling better resource management as you always have at least a 2:1 resource ratio and not using that is diminishing you overall damage.

    Stamina and magicka have far less an effect on actual weapon damage now as I believe weapon power to resource is now a 11:1 ratio. So attributes are more about spammability then damage.
