A few questions about Burning effects and Force Pulse.

Hi there! Thanks for taking the time to read this.

I'm sort of messing around with different builds at the moment and right now I thought I had a pretty nice Templar mage-thing going on. But some things need clearing up and short of scouring the hatefueled ragepit that is Reddit (Seriously, it's like the youtube comment section's more obnoxious little brother these days.) I found no answers after a day of skimming through google searches.

If anyone knows a definitive answer, please, do share ^^

1. Burning DoT
A fire destruction staff has a chance to cause a burning DoT. But what happens when this procs twice in a row? Does the effect grow stronger, refresh the duration or add to the duration.

2. Burning and other Fire DoT's
Some spells cause a burning effect too, for instance several Dragon Knight abilities, or that Dawn's Wrath ability. Do these count as regular burning DoT's, like the one the Fire Staff can proc, or is it a completely different debuff?

3. Force Pulse
This morph makes the spell hit 2 other enemies nearby if they have an elemental status effect on them.
This ability seemed like a nice match-up with the Reflective Light spell of the Templar. Seeing as Reflective Light burns 100% of the time and they both hit 2 additional nearby enemies. But does the burning effect of Reflective Light count to make Force Pulse hit multiple enemies?
And how far does Force Pulse's splash effect reach? (If anyone at Zenimex reads this, please consider adding the splash range to the tooltip ^^')

The splash effect from Force Pulse is incredibly weak though. Kind of like the splash from a 2H light attack.

Well it does about half the damage it would do single target to 2 nearby targets. Which makes it double damage.
Combining it with Elemental Drain improves the damage more. (Which returns the magicka cost of Force Pulse, so it's effectively the new heavy-attack as long as you don't completely deplete your magicka bar)

And then combining it with the Empower from Dark Flare, it becomes quite an efficient ability.
Oh, and I'm a high elf, so that's +4% for elemental damage. :) Not groundbreaking, but it does add up.

So making the rotation ED>DF>RL>DF>FP>DF>FP repeat.

This takes up 4 slots, so for the fifth I'd take Radiant Aura, for a bit of extra regen.
So I'd only need enough magicka regen from stats to refill the amount needed for 3 Dark Flares and one Reflective Light.
And if it does drop lower, Channeled Focus might help. But I haven't unlocked this ability yet and so far all the people talking about it are really negative.

But yeah.. I think even with the splash damage not 1-shotting stuff, under the right circumstances the damage is more than adequate.

    Hi there!
    1. Refresh duration.
    2. regular burning DoTs.
    3. This morph stronger than other. It's not match-up with the reflective light. Splash effect reach ~5-7m.

Differrent skill's DoTs and damages are stacking. Fire destro staff DoT will stack with fire DoT of Searing Strike.
You can debuff target with each damage type and they will stack - Poison, Disease, Fire, Frost, Lighting, Magic and Physical.

Thanks for the reply, nice and short :p
But I do have to ask some clarification...

If the Reflective Light spell's fire DoT is a regular burning DoT, why would it not work with Force Pulse's splash?

Because Reflective Light don't cause "burning effect".

Ah, I must have been typing when you added that last bit ^^'
    Thanks for the answer :)

Guess I'll have to look at something else to add a condition.

So.. I installed an addon to show damage numbers.
When I toss 1 reflective light at an enemy, it ticks Reflective Light and Burning.
And if there are multiple enemies, it ticks double. >.>

Is Foundry Tactical Combat just messed up, or does the fire damage DoT of RL have a chance to proc a burning dot? >.> Seems odd.

    Edit:
Oh and before you say anything, it's not from my staff or another ability. I only cast 1 RL and watched. And my staff is Frost with a Frost enchant.
