Silver Bolts - poposed changes

One of the neater looking abilities, this skill and its morphs could use even more tweaking since 1.6 - this is a proposal to mod it to be similar to the Expert Hunter active buff wording in terms of effect (to make it more useful again any enemy type) as well as help it out a bit by relating it to bows as a ranged weapon that takes advantage of bow passives.

Silver Bolts:
-Fire a Dawnguard Vampire Hunter’s crossbow bolt to strike enemy for (X) Physical Damage.
*Knocks target down for 3.5 seconds
*30% chance to deal additional (Y) damage to Undead/Daedra
*6% chance to deal additional (Y) damage to all other enemies
*Attacks are modified by weapon damage and scale off of Stamina
*While using a bow as main weapon, this skill is affected by bow skill line passive traits
*Attacks made with this skill may score critical hits

Essentially makes this skill and its morphs a very useful alternative for use on bow bars instead of being situational at best. It could benefit from champion points in bow damage and be a nice draw in for any creature, similar to the DK class skill... But with different effects.

Thoughts? Suggestions? The damage chance/effect might need to be turned down since it may end up being OP when coupled with Expert Hunter and its morphs plus ability to crit and bow passives... Room for tweaking!

    Yeah I could agree with this, although make the additional damage scale off your magicka. Against higher level Undead/Deadra I often find the effect underpowered, currently one one of my vet characters it hits just over 2000 magic damage.

    The above withstanding I agree with the ideas in your post.

    Yeah I could agree with this, although make the additional damage scale off your magicka.

    Or follow the ultimate/synergy damage/effect rule where the extra damage scales off your highest stat.

    Fair enough, but it seems that it would make more sense to scale off magicka due to the effect dealing magic damage, either or would work, as long as it receives some sort of buff.
