Combat pets for all classes

So when are we going to hear about combat pets for all classes? Permanent pets, not momentary pets. Hoping Spellcrafting will bring this.

Discard classes and let folks choose from any skill line.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Agreed. Whoever came up with the design should be shot in the foot and only admitted to hospital when he manages to find 3 other people willing to maim themselves the same way in order to accompany him.

Ultimately, any method of entering an enemy keep without breaking down the door is considered an exploit. Thanks for checking!

This would be cool, be it through spellcrafting or otherwise.

DK's Could get a Flame Atronach.
Sorcerers an extra Daedric summon or a smaller Storm Atronach that actually follows them around.
NB's could get a more permanent "shadow" that just wants to wreck faces.
Templars could get some sort of Light Atronach that doesn't fight but heals the user and teammates.
    Mending-The-Wounded, Aldmeri Dominion, Templar.

Hey everyone! Look! It's a signature!

I remember when they showed the Spell Crafting. The spell the player crafted was for a Flame Atronach, but it was only for like 15 seconds. But there was a slot in the crafting interface that allowed for an material item that would make the spell permanent. I think this would be a great way to allow spells to summon a permanent pet to be crafted, then given to who ever wanted it. Or sold, or whatever. I would like to see that you can have as many pets as you want, but can only have 2 out at a time, just like the Sorc. These pets can use the same control functions that the Sorc pets use. Pets should have at least a bite attack, and an appropriate special like the tail swipe that the clannfear has. Tail swipe for crocodiles and snakes. Poison bite for the snakes and spiders. Claw and bite for the cats. Wolf should have a bite and (have a funny one but I will be proper) something appropriate.

I would really like to see some mini game for taming a pet, but that is way too much programming for the current ESO team to be able to handle.

I want to have a spider for my Dunmer, a snake for my Argonian, a cat for the Khajitt.

And for those who don't want a pet, then don't get one. Problem solved.

I would make a permanent combat pet.

by "pet" I mean a dremora lord who would yell "ARE YOU PREPARED, FOR YOUR DEATH!!!"?

if not that, I would get a wolf or a giant mudcrab:)

    No.

Will ruin any kind of diversity.

Some knucklehead will find the BE ALL END ALL BUILD and EVERYBODY else will have to copy him or be rolled over constantly, start hating the game and quit.

    Not the answer.

Fluff pets should just have a combat animation. They don't have to actually do any dmg but it would be cool just to see them fighting instead of sitting around. Especially that big Panther pet that appears to be incredibly docile.

Trust me, this would never happen. So don't worry. Besides, isn't this game supposed to be "Play the way YOU want to play"? If you have to copy other players, then I think you are not having fun in this game. I play the way I want to play, well with what they let me do. I do not use a build that people say "this is the guild you have to use." Granted, I do not raid or do PVP, so I have no problems with the style I wish to use.

So please don't try to kill something that others might want. Most players who want combat pets (other than what the Sorc gives) don't do it to have a "I win" build. I have never seen a pet class in any game that was said to have a "I win" build that everyone needed to have to be competitive. If you don't want to have a combat pet, then don't get one. But don't ruin it for those of us who want one. Our likelihood of actually getting non Sorc combat pets is pretty small anyway due the the devs being busy working on all the Raid content and PVP content (and fixes) that need to be done.

I don't want the vanity pets to pretend to fight. I want actual combat pets. I do have a Sorc and don't care for it. I want was promised before the game went into beta (I wish I could find the video of the interview with the dev at some Con, but don't remember what Con it was, so I am sorry I don't have the proof of what was said.). I have the two mudcrabs, monkey, and the lizard thing and I never use them. I refuse to buy the panther, though it does look cool.

    But I want it NOW!!!

    LOL.

I am being patient, I am still here.

And now a thing about the vampire feeding. If I drained that much blood from someone, they would never turn around and fight, they would probably pass out from the blood loss. So after I feed, should I offer a big glass of orange juice?

For real if anyone can have anything just remove the class choices.

As it is right now sorcerer should be re-named "lightning master".

They aren't closer to a sorcerer then a DK,NB or a templar. They are just the lightning version.

I meean in rift all the 4 different class can perform every single different roles like in ESO. But they have different mechanics and armor/weapons restriction. So you can pick up a class based upon your preffered gameplay and/or armor look.

In ESO everyone have the same gameplay. Your using stamina and/or magicka and your armors is deffined by your role same for weapon choices (the only exeption are 2h/DW).

Chances are the older the game will get, fewer will be the difference between class beside the 2-3 class skill animation you'll be using.

Would love to see a World Nature skill line, a druidic line where you can summon bears or wolves just like Sorcs can summon daedra.

Likely never, the servers can't cope with critters cluttering up the landscape, vast numbers of combat pets likely would be even worse.

Well then I suggest they upgrade their servers.

Stop stealing my thread. And I don't remember in any MMO I played where they removed the classes. So I would not know how the effect was.

Back to the Combat Pets for ALL CLASSES.
