Options for improving the performance and environment

Hello.

I think it would be good to have a configuration option that allows to disable the display of company pets of others users.

Many of you may want to do to improve the ambience of the game, others perhaps to improve performance by reducing graphical information to be processed.

This would be optional and each could decide how to use it.

You think it would be useful?

Other options you think would be useful to improve these two factors mentioned?

disabling shoulder pads and whatever those stupid side flaps are

disabling mages light/ whatever the new DK one is called
If options weren't necessary, and everyone played the same way, no one would use addons. Fix the UI!

    It is an interesting option.

To choose which type of display effects and what not.

Also can choose to reduce the amount of armor pieces that are displayed, especially those elaborate graphics or consuming too many resources for its level of detail and aggregates.

    Thanks for the comment!

There are some options in the settings menu, in-game. have you tried those to see if they help you out?
Some are for graphic settings, of course, but I'm pretty sure there are some effect settings too.

I have all my setting turned down all the way and the ones that can be disabled and I can still see pets and my reflection in water. Sureley that kind of graphics can be turned down to better preformance.

    This is what I mean.

Options are needed to reduce the amount of unnecessary information, or that may affect the atmosphere of the game you are looking for.

If you run an Nvidia based card, you can go in to the 3D settings under ESO.exe. and lower some of those settings as well.
    It may help.

Change the quality settings to performance, and such things.

To all who posted here, the following isn't directed at anyone other than ZOS.

The thing I am wondering about is WHY, WHY, WHY should I turn down all my settings for server lag??? ZOS created this game and all it's wonders for us to enjoy. Why should I have to turn down my settings when the lag/crashes I am experiencing are IMO server sided?

Almost a YEAR later, I never used to have an issue with Wayshrine crashes until 1.6 was implemented. After that, EVERY TIME I try and port into Rawlkha from another Zone I get a crash <1> Error. PVE Dungeons and questing HAS NEVER lagged like this prior to 1.6. When an entire group is having lag issues with delayed spell casts, locking weapon swap bars, mob's moving from one place to another instantly throwing off targeting is happening that's not my system/internet's issue, that's a server issue. This is happening at the same time to people in different states in the US on different Internet providers so it's not an individual latency issue.

ZOS removed deer and torch bugs from Cryodil to help with lag issues there and when 1.6 came along, lag there is worse than ever.

ZOS added the Crown Store introducing all these new pets that people have out and about now which is increasing lag and lowering FPS IMO.

Granted I HAVE NOT tried out the today's patch yet so I don't know if all of these things are fixed yet. From the state of the forums and the timing of posts I'm going to go out on a limb and say they aren't.

ZOS needs to figure out these issues ASAP and get them resolved. If THEY need to tone down the intensity of the graphics effects then so be it. Why should the PAYING CONSUMER have to lower the quality of our gaming experience because the core gaming code has issues? If there's an easier, more efficient way to code the game that will resolve this, then they need to find it.

@ZOS please stop working on Crown Store updates for a few weeks and please resolve the core issues of the game that are causing so many people problems.

This game has TREMENDOUS potential, but only if you can resolve the issues that are affecting daily game play.

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter HOW detailed/beautiful the graphics are if we log off because we can't play the game due to the issues that aren't being fixed.

The PvE lag did not improve very much, if at all, with todays patch. I still get random drops when running/walking along, no matter what kind of terrain I'm in, towns, fields, empty or full of players/NPCs it will just "lurch" and drop by ~20 fps each time. It feels like a bottlenecked CPU or a memory leak, but it's not either. That did not happen before Update 6 and since I didn't experience that at all on the PTS I believe it's an issue with servers not handling the amount of people playing now. It needs to be fixed.
Semi retired from the trading aspects of the game.

I'd like the option of blocking out other players too (except for my group members), but that's in the too-hard-to-do category.

I do not think it's impossible anyway.

I know games where automatically to achieve greater efficiency in performing the representation of the characters of others becomes invisible and only highlighted by an illuminated circle on the basis of where supposedly the character is.

    Ok.

But in the meantime, to find a general solution would be good to have more options to customize it to display, and does not display.

Furthermore, given that mandatory condition for a monthly subscription was removed, it is essential to work in the crown shop for a system enabling them to finance the product.
