Heavy Armor Magicka DK

Hi all,
after 5 months i am returned and i found difficult to go full light armor melee caster as i was pre 1.6
I want to ask if it is viable a heavy armor magicka based Dk 1h/s-Destro/resto?
Or what build i could run always magicka based with some survavibility?

Yeah it's possible for 1h+S and Resto/Destro. Her'es a direction you could aim in for gearing:

Head: Elf Bane set
Shoulders: Soulshine set
Chest: Elf Bane set
Belt: Elf Bane set
Hands: Elf Bane set
Legs: Elf Bane set
Feet: Soulshine set
---
Neck: Soulshine set
Ring: Soulshine set
Ring: Soulshine set
---
1h+S: Lord's Mail set
R-Staff/D-Staff: whatever suits you

Lord's Mail Set:

Lean your attributes on Magicka and Health, and just focus on using and maintaining fire DoT effects, should be a good place to star with a heavy armour type DK caster. You're not going to have the resources to spam, but you should be able to wear things down with your DoT's.

Hope that helps a touch, but keep in mind viable and optimal are two different things =P

My DK is a full-on tank, so not sure if my build would be of use to you, but I'm successfully running as a powerful s&b/resto heavy-armored magicka DK. Take my setup as you wish.

Sabatons - v14 - Seducer - Reinforced - Magicka
Girdle - v13 - Footman - Exploration - Health
Cuirass - v14 - Seducer - Reinforced - Health
Helm - v14 - Seducer - Reinforced - Stam
Pauldrons - v14 - Seducer - Reinforced - Magicka
Gauntlets - v13 - Footman - Divines - Magicka
Greaves - v14 - Seducer - Reinforced - Magicka
Mace - v14 - Hist Bark - Defending - Disease
Shield - v14 - Hist Bark - Reinforced - Stam
Resto - v14 - Seducer - Infused - Absorb Magicka
Necklace - v13 - Footman - Reduce spell cost
Ring 1 - v14 - Footman - Reduce spell cost
Ring 2 - v14 - Footman - Reduce spell cost

All armor/weapons/jewelry/enchants purple.
Mage mundus stone.
v10 trifood.
Attributes: 0 Magicka/(can't remember, but what isn't put into Stam goes here) Health/20 Stam.
Dunmer.
Werewolf.
All DK, s&b, resto, heavy, soul magic, fighters guild, undaunted (only have 1 atm (EDIT: 1 unlocked)), alliance war (only have 3 atm (EDIT: 3 unlocked)), and racial passives.

s&b bar: Gdb, Absorb Magic, Choking Talons, Hardened Armor, Flame Lash (PvP)/Pierce Armor (PvE), Ferocious Leap (PvP)/Corrosive Armor (PvE) ults.
Resto bar: Gdb, Rapid Maneuver (PvP)/Extended Chains (PvE), Caltrops, Mutagen (both PvP and PvE)/Inner Fire (PvE (note: I keep this at its base skill so it stays Magicka)), Igneous Shield, Ferocious Leap (PvP)/Standard of Might (PvE) ults.
