Blazing Shield - damage delt will it crit?

Blazing shield establishes a shield at 30% of player max health and deals 50% of damage received as an AOE. My question is will this crit? If so, is it spell or weapon crit based?? Further, what kind of damage is deal? Magic, physical, etc??

    If it cost magicka, its spell crit. Should most definately be magic dmg.

    I don't think it can crit.After the stacking bug was fixed, I hit for a rather consistent 600ish damage ( at 3600 hp, so 1/6 as it should be non-crit ). Never been hit by more either - That also means the +4% per enemy portion probably still isn't working.

    I have been able to crit with this Blazing shield, though mostly it was in PvE territory.
    It also procs Burning Light if you are lucky, for a bit extra damage.
    Mending-The-Wounded, Aldmeri Dominion, Templar.
