I haven't seen any other talk on this subject.
Until 1.5, when your character is standing still, and you turn your camera (and the
crosshair...) to the left for example, then your spell will launch to the left, and your character will turn while doing so, again, the spell will go in the direction of your crosshair.
But in 1.6 as of the PTS, spells (besides weapon attacks) will always go where your character is facing, no matter where your camera and crosshair are looking.
And I absolutely don't know why someone would want that, especially as default. Because it would only be helpful in the case where you want to look behind you and still want to attack in front of you, if hopefully your target is not moving.
I find it weird that the only way to launch a spell in another direction is to move, do a light attack first, or play in first person mode... Why would the third person would behave differently than the first person mode ?
In PVP, your target will most likely always move, now if you are root and can't move, how are we going to launch a spell in another direction quickly ?
Any thoughts on the subject, and reason why it should be like this without any option to make it behave as it were ?
I don't want to spend my time spaming left and right because of this
