Reaction to provisioning changes 1.6 (Video)

Hello Forum! Alright so I read about all the changes coming to provisioning and I really love the way they have structured it!

That being said I tried to start leveling it on the PTS and upon exploring a delve I found 30+ different ingredients with 0 recipes. First of all is this normal to not find any recipes when exploring an entire delve and opening every single box, crate and sack?

Also R.I.P. inventory space! I have a VR2 character and I don't think his inventory has had an extra 30 slots in it since about level 5 in the game. Inventory management and needing bag space has always been a problem for me in ESO and trying to provision and gather all these ingredients just makes it 10x worse.

Am a complaining or being to picky? Its possible but I really think that something should be done to help provisioners free up inventory space and find new recipes more easily. I made a few suggestions in the video that I made about this topic if you are interested in checking it out.

    Provisioning Bag
I like the idea of the Provisioning bag but I think a separate bag for each Craft would be unrealistic. An alternative might be a Crafting bag that can hold any Crafting material but is restricted to only Crafting materials.

    Inventory Space
I'm actually looking forward to just how much additional inventory space I will have in 1.6.
    1) Mats in 1.6 will stack to 200 doubling the size of current stacks. That alone will free up a lot of inventory space.
    2) There will be fewer Provisioning mats in 1.6
    3) Mats will be universal. No more needing different mats for different faction recipes.

    Grocers
All Grocers in 1.6 sell the same items for the same cost. No more having to record what grocers in what faction in what location sell what items for how much.

    Recipes
Did you try a Provisioning Writ? The reward almost always includes a recipe ranging anywhere from green to even purple. Writs take a little more effort but are much less risky. Though who can refuse a new or rare recipe left for the taking?

    Delves
I also like the idea that Provisioning mats are so plentiful and diverse in Delves. I find it to be a real nice alternative means of gathering mats for those not interested in participating in the new Justice system. To me, finding so many different mats doesn't mean overburdening my inventory, it means an increased chance of finding the mats I am looking for. The rest I can always leave behind.
If they ever create a Legendary recipe it better contain bacon as one of the ingredients. I'm just sayin'.

I've got some flack on Reddit for this video so I appreciate your clear statement of the facts without calling for my head

I agree lots of improvements have been made I was just shocked that even with those in place there still seems to be a need for lots of bag space to gather mats for this profession.

I agree. I plan to spend a fair bit of time running into delves, killing all the bandits, then taking their lunch (also, their money). It's better gameplay than ransacking various fighters' guilds and castles ;)

Well, you will need more space in backpack than in 1.5. This is why. When you are running one alt in 1.5. you need just stuff from this zone where you are to make a provisioning. This is 1/5 of the mats of an alliance or 1/15 of the total mats in a game. When you move to other zone you can drop the old stuff - you don't need it anymore.
In 1.6 situation is different - you will have 1/2 of ALL old mats in ALL three alliances and now you don't have split in zones. So instead of 1/15 you will need to keep stuff from 1/2 or know 100% what you need and what is not needed for you. This is kinda more complex thing than in 1.5 now. So be prepared to study all 350 recipes with all levels or you will need ~7 time more space for mats....

Sent many a feedback testing provisioning to Zos on this your correct its is extremely hard to get recipes without stealing. Most delvs have no containers that drop them. Only way to get them there is from mob drops which are extremely rare and never level appropriate. Never seen the recipe to start doing daily crafting which would have been the ideal way to get recipes but its a catch 22. Was very inappropriate that they give you recipes but they are not the ones you need for the crafting writs. Hope it doesn't release in its current form of recipe drops. This update is going to force everyone to be a thief which is just wrong.

I don't think we need separate crafting inventory bags, other than wishing they had a system like Advanced Filters in place by default.

The stacking to 200 will save a lot of room (at least for me) in 1.6, so looking forward to that. And provisioning ingredients won't take up anymore room than what I save now for it after looking at what I'll need to save/gather.

I am concerned about having to steal a lot to get ingredients, especially now that they did a 180 on us being able to sell old ingredients and buy replacements - increasing the price of new stuff so that existing provisioners are screwed out of what they have and have to start over. (Which seems to be typical after the last few times they added or change something).
