I've toured Tamriel for a year and all I got was this Pet

I'm not peeved entirely about this, but it does affect my morale a little.

It seems as if ZOS seems entirely bent on rewarding new players over loyal players.

1. The Steam account debacle.
2. All of the work put into end-game, relatively gone overnight. The champion system will seem great to new players, but taunts old players by ripping out a chunk of progress and putting it on a carrot as if re-earning it is some kind of positive motivation.
3. And before you say, "You don't have a V14", um, I did stack a lot of regen and armor buffs before, and now that all got converted to non-stacking buff system. It's creative, but a little lazy. While I guess it encourages diversity, buff diversity is kind of locked behind classes right now, which you can't cross boundaries with. And it punishes group buffs that will annoy players for making their individual skills pointless. (Templar joins party... and now you have to change out all your buffs).
4. B2P gives all new players all the content that we've paid for. B2P probably should have waited until the first buyable DLC was introduced, but.... consoles!

Loyalty is rewarded.... by pets?

And I get that they may not be trying to do this on purpose, but some back pay on the crowns would be nice?

Is that included in this deal, and I didn't notice?

Can someone help point out something I'm missing here?

I can't help but feel like I would have been better off if I had waited until 1.6 was out to buy the game on steam.

First: They have hinted than one of the time period rewards for subscribing is going to be a mount at some point. It's not really on topic but just wanted to mention it.

    Frequently Asked Questions
    How do I get crowns?

There are several ways to get crowns:

    1) As a new player: New players will be given a one-time gift of 500 crowns for buying the game and creating a game account.

    2) As a current subscriber: If you are an active subscriber when The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited launches, you will receive 500 crowns for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period you have been an active subscriber. In addition, you'll be automatically enrolled in ESO Plus for the remainder of your subscription period. You'll receive the full benefits of membership, and 1500 crowns for each 30-day period remaining on your subscription. For example, if you have 30 days or less remaining, you will receive 1500 crowns. If you have between 30 and 60 days remaining, you will receive 3000 crowns. 60 to 90 days, 4500 crowns.

    3) As a returning player: If you've previously played The Elder Scrolls Online, but are no longer a subscriber, you'll receive 500 crowns when you log in for having a game account, plus 100 crowns for each 30-day period you were a subscriber.

    4) Purchase Crown Packs: PC/Mac players will be able to purchase crown packs from The Elder Scrolls Online store. Console players will be able to purchase crowns via the Xbox Live or PSN stores.

Have they announced the one-year loyalty award? If it's a pet, it better be a mini-Alduin ;)

A black senche-tiger mount would do nicely, though!

You will get a hovering moneybag with "$$$" on it which will stay over your head, so new players can easily spot you and say: "Oh, truly a legendary person. Paid 12 months of subscription to play the same game as I do for 40€".
    Roluns Drachenfaust - v14 Templar - Tank/Heal

Why is this on the PTS?

But I agree that ZoS philosophy of rewarding new players over the loyal who subscribed and supported for nearly a year over this failed launch by getting a meager 100 coins for each month subscriber.

I was expecting 100 coin increments for those who still remained subbed for each of the months. But this is insulting.

I guess this is what we are worth, nothing. They probably only gave us 100 to cover the bases so they wouldn't suffer a huge backlash when going B2P.

I am sure those who subscribed loyally would of outright left if they pulled that stunt.

So it looks like the standard is going to be 500 crowns per month of sub.

So, all our previous months is only worth 1/5 of the value of months to come.

I can understand that. You don't want people who have been loyal to the game having 20000 crowns at the start.

Because you want the opportunity to milk extra money out of long-term previous subscribers.

    Meh.

Again, it doesn't bother me all that much. But the trend is pretty funny to watch.

    Yay!
Good deal adding the mount in as a loyalty reward!
