So I am on PTS playing around with my night blade Argonian Nightblade template and notice a lot of changes with the potions passives for both Argonians and Nightblades. I was confuse why they made so much changes to these passives since I like that the potion effectiveness that they had before. Also the the fact light armor is super squishy did not help fighting mobs.
So I was bored and decided to test out the changes to the shadow skill line. So I had on my bar funnel health, dark cloak, refreshing path, manifestation of terror, and shadow image. My ultimate was soul tether. These were odd choices but I wanted to try out against the wasps in Craglorn that kills very fast when swarm.
So now when using a shadow skills you get Major buff to armor and resistance for 4 secs. This was nice since I was going to spam shadow skills anyway. So the whole point of this build was to use misdirection to confuse the enemies and whittle the enemies overtime while trying to avoid dying. My only offense was funnel health, light attacks, refreshing shadows, and my ultimate soul tether. The key was using refreshing shadows to heal and keep me away from the swarm while also using shadow image to teleport away from them while using manifestation of terror to fear them away while I set up another teleport.
While I was delaying the enemy from killing me, I am charging up my ultimate from attacking and using potions. I only use shadow cloak to delay time to get my ultimate or my potion timer up. I decided to use manifestation of terror a morph of the skill aspect of terror because it can fear more enemies then the other morph. I could never get to skill to work on live since it use to only fear the first enemy that goes into the trap instead of all but now the spell actually fears all enemies that enter the trap radius instead of the initial enemy.
So at first I could not get the timing right and the swarm got me a couple times then I figure out the best time to place the trap. The set up worked and I can killed multiple swarms without dying. It takes a little effort but it is fun watching all of the mobs flying and running off in different directions while they try their best to get to you while you are teleporting and running away for them. Plus with using tri pots the additional magicka, health, and stamina you get from Amphibious heal is very nice plus the 12 ultimate per potion from the change catalyst morph for night blades is also nice as well.
The build is not efficient at killing things fast but it is fun to use and it still can get the job done.
