I have at many points asked for new animations, and finally, they are here! Most of them look great, but some still need a few tweaks.
First is the staff animations. I love the new look of how the fire and ice staff are now held behind you and the healing staff is held upright in front. I have not gotten a chance to test the lightning, but will do so soon. One of the problems I have with it is when you start moving or casting a heavy attack, the character jerks the staff forward into the running animation. This is very annoying, and should be fixed. I have noticed that this only happens sometimes, and other times, the hand with the staff is smoothly brought forward, so I know that the correct one is there. Another thing is that for the light attacks the motion is kind of jerky too, but that's minor. Finally, the running animations for both the healing and the frost/fire is the same, but that is not major at all.
I still have some complaints about the sprinting animation, however. I like how it is changed so that instead of pounding their feet into the ground, the character brings them forward and down and then back and up. However, the legs move extremely fast, unnaturally fast, and it still looks a little weird. I think a little more movement in the upper body and longer strides would do the trick.
I have heard a few complaints about the 2 handed sword, and I agree. Though I have rarely used it, it now feels like it has almost no weight, and the character is swinging a feather.
I have not really tried dual wield, bow, or 1 hand and shield, so I will leave that up to others.
ZOS please read this and consider some of these as needed changes.
