Do we have an idea yet of when Update 6 will be published? I remember they were aiming for January; but I haven't seen much sense as to when to expect it. Will it be published when the conversion to Tamriel Unlimited occurs? I thought I heard something about next week in the last Twitch podcast but that must not be true given the PTS schedule for this coming week.
Looking up Patch notes here in the forum, it looks like update 5 hit PTS on Oct 10 and went live on Oct 31. That's 3 weeks. This update is even bigger. But the main factor is how much reworking is needed. If everything is working as intended, less time. If things are not working as intended, more time. But they have this conversion taking place March 17. Do they want to roll the release in with that or get it out a week or two right before to create some PR buzz? Or will they just release it in 2 to 3 weeks a usual?
Only they know and the executives can change their minds many times between now and then. But right now it is in the hands of the programmers who are sizing up the bug reports and giving the execs estimates of when they think they may have the number of bugs down below an "acceptable" level. So through next week, even the devs don't know how soon it can be released, but they may know how long they have to work on it.
Only time will tell, but I doubt it would be next week, the following week would be the earliest, and that is only if next week goes well for the programmers. There is usually at least one patch. And if they feel good about a patch, it will likely go live shortly after that. The question is how many patches are needed until they get to that point.
I heard tomorrow for the crown store but nothing in the blurb at the top about any maintenance occurring.
As to when update 6 hits live, no idea but I hope later rather then sooner as I don't think it is ready yet. But really it doesn't matter as we are testers whether it is on live or on the PTS. My entry into the guessing pool is end of February first week of March.
it depends how fast they fix and adjust and if it works well. If in 1 patch they adjust stuff and it balences out great, then sooner. BASICALLY..... THE MORE FEEDBACK YOU GIVE THE DEVS - SO THEY DON'T MISS THINGS OR ADJUST THINGS IN A BAD WAY, SOONER IT GOES LIVE
regardless of when they aim for, if its still shakey and unbalanced, it wont go live. If they allow another groundskeeper bug there guna loose half there player base.
LOL, we should know by now that ONLY game breaking bugs will be fixed before roll-out. Plenty of reported bugs will be on the live server. Why should 1.6 be any different from previous updates?

The wise thing to do would be releasing patch 2 weeks before the release on March 17. It would be wise to have the live servers to test the patch and have two weeks of patching updates.
1.6 on PTS is a nightmare. It take an entire day to earn a cp doing PvP . They nerfed all the end game raid armor. If this goes live like it is now there will be alot of people upset.
