Immovable is Slightly Overpowered

The main reason immovable is slightly overpowered is that its stamina cost is a bit too low for its duration now, it mitigates some of the weaknesses of light armor, and because regular CC break has a "break free" animation that is kind of like a self stun, and you can avoid this by keeping immovable up permanently.

Classes that are running shield stacking (class shield or healing ward + harness magicka) and immovable on top of it are a bit too tanky. Shield stacking in itself is strong, but when you throw immovable on top of it -> even if you drop their shields they have stronger armor/spell resist than they should and CC immunity on top of it.

I think immovable needs to be slightly adjusted otherwise shield stacking and immovable will become the meta.

I think the problem is more the low health and strong shields driving people into shield stacking builds, rather than not being CCed enough already...
If people had the resource pools like in 1.5 and weaker/more expensive shields I don't think it would be a problem.
You are basically asking for a way to deal with a bad mechanic, so fighting the symptoms.

I think they just need to do better as far as CC immunity after being CCed. Since there is no CDs tow here CCs can be spammed, thats whaty drives me to using immovable.

Immovable does not make shield stacking any stronger. Shields do not benefit from any form of resistance. They always take full damage.

Correct, but immovable makes it so that once you finally get a shield stackers shields down, they have sufficient armor/spell resist to not take enough damage to be meaningful, while at the same time being immune to CC. The strongest shield stackers are pure magicka builds, and they can make immovable their only stamina ability. Its overpowered.

A fair fix would be to increase the stamina cost of immovable, and make one of the morphs decrease stamina cost per piece of heavy armor worn.

this is why armor skills should require to wear at least 5 pieces of set, would prevent people from using Annulment and immovable at the same time.
you woul dhave to choose which one of those powerfull skills you want to use not stack shields and immovable and be near invincible...

Yeah the biggest problem with shields is that they are cheaper to put up than to take down, resource wise, so the attacker will run out of resources before the defender. If you can't CC someone then you are never able to damage thier health.

I really like shields, but they may need to adjust the costs a bit.

I also don't think immovable is cheap for the duration.

As long as the cc immunity system after being cc'd remains the clusterf*** it currently is, I can't see how nerfing Immovable could make for better gameplay.

Would be worse and not just slightly.

It last too long for it's cost. With any amount of stam regen you can keep it up infinitely allowing the user to never have to use a CC break. In it's current stat it undermines a core mechanic.

Cool skill, but last too long.

They have to be...otherwise, why would someone use them?

I think the best idea I've heard is having shields only mitigate some damage rather than all while up.

This one does seem the best one, I agree.

If you make them multiplicative it becomes less efficient the more shields you stack. May need to shrink the amount they absorb, since the change would make them last longer naturally, and BS would need careful consideration given its offensive nature.

That would make them even more powerful in combination with hots and healthreg. The shield would take longer to take down. While small heals can keep your hp in the comfort zone. Meanwhile you get more time to dps and act offensive.
Currently someone going all offensive can lock you into survial mode. If you get ccd in the wrong second you´re dead.

Best idea would be to fix cc immunity after breaks (longer immunity anyone?) and make immovable tied to 5p of heavy armor.

The cost of immovable has just been raised, if youre only realising how good it is now youre late to the party.

Its especially strong now because of petrify, agony, streak and luminous spears going through block but not immovable.
