Champion point, why....

So after spending X amount of points in the Staff Expert ranks, I get a passive called Retaliation, now im a staff user and pure magicka caster, and this passive will boost my next Physical attack by 30%, this is in the atronach tree under the mage.

Well...I cant really explain in words the dissapointment this was. *shakes head*

This was just one example of my dissapointment with the whole cp system.

Maybe just poorly written? I would assume it was meant to be weapon damage.

If you dont like that FREE passive perk then points your points into other things. As staff user there are alot of better choices in other constalations under the same sign.

How could you not like the champion system? it gives you a very long tern character progression and a way to keep improving your character and be different than others.

that whole tree is for weapons if you paid attention. not every single passive is going to match YOUR playstyle. they have to cover all classes, styles, roles. take the extra damage you spent your points for and be happy

The issue is that Staff Expert sits alone in a tree otherwise centered on physical damage, which is weird.

Exactly. Id be happier if they categorized all magicka based stuff in the blue, all tanking/warrior in red and all sneak/stamina stuff for green...in some way or another. Feels wonky as it is now.

Not to mention that they took away alot of our power, as it is now on live, and trying to give it back to us through grinding this system. Thats not exactly how I tought it would be, not nearly. And im quite dissapointed.
