DK, Temp, or NB for 2h/bow PVE/PVP DPS ?

I was planning on going sorcerer. It seems they aren't in such a great spot right now, so I'm looking at the other 3 classes. I also read that everyone is wearing crit immunity gear in pvp, so their heals are lacking, their dps is down and dependent on rng, etc... So it was a big turn off!

Anyone tried all 3 in my title to higher tiers and have thoughts to share on which you found more enjoyable and effective?

Which could solo things like harder public dungeon bosses and world bosses?

Stamina build. Most likely Imperial race (unless DK, then probably Dunmer).

I didn't think my hangover was that bad this morning until I spent 10 minutes trying to log into my old Etch-A-Sketch

Templar. -Unlike DKs, you don't have a self weapon buff and have better synergies as a NB such as crit change or armor reduction and such- blazing shield, aura and dem heals help you to survive and regain stamina.

Nightblade will deal the most damage but harbor the least utility or variety.

Dragonknights have a group weapon damage buff and a powerful dot and FIRE, but again fall a little short on variety.

Templars have the technically lowest damage output (which is marginal as stamina unless compared directly to a nb, which even then isn't so severe) but have greater support and variety than the previous classes.

    I hope this helps.
Bobbity Boop, this game might become poop, but I'll still play because I'm just a pile of goop!

Thanks for the help. I'm actually leveling an imperial templar now going 1h/shield - resto for early leveling.

I was just noticing my damage is bad, I mean bad. I guess that's the price you pay for being defensive. I'm sure it will get better later when I actually swap to 2h/bow - stamina set up.

Going to keep at it. You know the Old saying, "The grass is always greener".

With a good bow/2hand setup you will easy pull 1,1k damage, which goes up to 1,5k dependant on your rotation and buffs from other classes.

Nightblade is the best choice because it has quite a lot of usefull buffs for player and debuffs for the enemy.

Templars have probably one of the best solo-runner pvp builds with 2h/bow right now. Check out this video (not my video, but it will definitely encourage your templar):

I'm using a similar setup on my nightblade now, and while I dont have the cleanses/heals a templar has, it still works out pretty well. Once the free respec happens in 1.6, I'll swap my templar to this kind of build as well (right now he's a caster and I dont want to spend the gold on a respec).

    Templars scale better with gear.

From a PvP standpoint, Templars at max level and max gear can run all over the other classes. DKs give Templars a hard time due to GDB (Green Dragon Blood) and RF (Reflective Scales), but since DKs lack on the fly utilities, Templars usually top them. NBs and sorcs both win when played well versus Templars, so those are the only classes to really be on the look out for. NBs/Sorcs have good utility/CC stuffed damage skills and, if they get the jump on Templars, have the best chance at defeating them.

As for PvE - 2hand/bow style is a good run, and as long as you keep Shield up, and have Rushed Ceremony/Breath of Life handy somewhere, you will be fine. They can output enough DPS for crowds or single target, and when combined with their damage mitigation and self-heals, can find a way to solo pretty much anything, World Bosses and PD bosses included. Worse case is to get some 1hand/shield spec for low damage, but indestructible on bosses/elite fights.

Go Imperial. Other races have better output DPS potential for some Templar builds, but the Stamina/Health bonuses on Imperial are nothing to sneer at for solo PvE and any PvP. Full turtle mode active on my Templar (1hand/shield, plate, active buffs) gives me just under 3.5k health, and with Cyro buffs, I'm just under 4k.

Build i am using is similar to > http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/the-radiant-harvester-eso-templar-dps-build/

    WIth the changed in 1.6:
Power of the light scales from Stamina, DPS will be even higher, so templar will be a good choice :) Though NB still can get a bit better DPS

Wait what? Where does that info come from, because that sounds like a baseless speculation there.

go down to abilites, first question:

in terms of all the ability changes. Can you tell us a little bit about some of the class abilities that will change to have a morph to scale off of Stamina?

    Answer:
EW: The coolest, most interesting one that we’ve been working on this week is the Backlash ability from the Templar. We made so multiple, different casters can cast it. Now there is a Magicka morph and a Stamina morph, so damage scales off casters max Magicka or max Stamina, so it’s useful for melee guys or spell-based guys as well.

So it's a DoT now? And takes into account other people's damage? That's..............odd. I guess I'll hold judgement until I've actually seen it in action.
