I really hope they never add a "feature" that allows this.
If you think this game is only about war and uncrossable borders between people, you missed a lot.
And yet the "borders" ARE uncrossable. As a DC character now doing quests IN the Aldemeri Dominion...I'm never going ot actually meet any AD player characters. Which just makes ZERO sense.
Nope. In your vet areas you can see only veterans from your own alliance, never anyone else. Cyrodiil is the only cross-alliance zone.AlexDougherty wrote: »MornaBaine wrote: »The premise of the main quest is "we must unite against an enemy more dangerous than any of us." Correction, you are never going to meet any AD players of the same level (unless they have popped back to use Guild Vendors or crafting stations).
You will meet AD players levelling up their characters through levels 1-50, and EP players doing Cadwell's Gold. Because I used to meet VR players well before I hit VR levels.

And yet you can have guilds that have members from different factions. Good job on the RPG and PVP feeling there.
So? People can do that. Even in war time there are groups (resistance) who crossborders of nations that are in war. Put personaly it should not have been made possible
Still those guild members can not play the same quests. And if it would be made possible, why have faction at all?
You've been playing since April.
I'm curious why you did not ask your daughter to roll Ebonheart Pact, knowing full well that cross-faction grouping was not currently in-game.
LOL
You are curious... well...
My daughter is 21.... no way I could not stop her :-)
And MMO games do change

Sage assuaged most of my fears, however, when he mentioned that once you hit level 50 and decide to play in another alliance's areas, you'll be able to play with friends in that faction. So at the endgame, things begin to open up and you can group up, chat, and run dungeons with players of other factions. The one area where things remain separate is, of course, the Alliance War in Cyrodiil.
So even if it would not be a top priority to implement atm.... or even worse :-(
... I would conclude that sharing and teaming up is a corner stone of ESO
And certainly the undaunted quests fit well... as the "go bad" new pirates den of the Thieves Guild :-)
