Suggestion: Replace Rune Prison with Repulse

In early stages of the Beta, before the developers gave us Crystal Shards, there was a really fun ability known as Repulse.

It was similar to the Death Wind set, except it was an active ability. Essentially it was a 360 AoE knock back. I believe one morph added a small amount of damage to the skill and the other increased the radius.

It was a really fun skill and I think the reason ZOS got rid of it was because Sorcs lacked any direct damage skill at the time.

However, it would have made much more sense to replace Rune Prison, since no one uses that ability.

I think it would be great if ZOS replaced Rune Prison with Repulse.

Every other class is getting new skills to replace a less useful skill (New Inferno, Radiant Destruction, NB ult generating super bow).

It's only fair for Sorc to ditch our most useless ability in favor of something good too.

    Hey! I use rune prison when soloing stuff. What I would like to see on the Dark Magic Tree is a decent DoT ( a DARK MAGIC curse, I mean, seriously, how dont we have one of those?? ). Why? Because you get 15% extra crit on targets affected by dark magic and we cna nver, ever use that great passive in bosses cause they are immune to everything in the Dark Magic tree!

    They could just swap Curse and Mines (which would make more sense anyway.) Then you'd get a bonus on cursed enemies.

    Why do you use rune prison though?

    If you'd used Repulse, you'd rather have that too.

    Yes! I sent out that suggestion on feed back about 100 times... There is no "summoning" to Draedric Curse and there is no Darkness on Mines (other then the fact they glow purple). That wasted passive just makes me cringe every time I redistribute my points...

    Daedric Curse is getting a "pets deal more damage to cursed target" morph next patch, so I guess it will be tied to Summoning then.

    Yes... I guess. It would still be useful to have a DoT on Draedric Curse. Far more useful then 2 CC abilities that are completely useless in End Game content or Mines that ZoS made completely useless by reducing its activation radius.

    Probably... Depending on what was immune to it.

    It was awesome.

    I had this dual wield sorcerer build where I would bolt into a crowd and use whirling tornado until I was almost out of stamina, then use repulse and bolt out.
