How great are the summeners pets at max Vet rank, when it comes to dps on other players. With no assist from the caster?

Dubah✭✭✭Supposedly from what i heard they are getting some buffs with 1.6, but right now they are horrible and i wouldnt waste your time except for soloing. The clannfear makes a really nice tank in solo content1 -

I used my Cleanfear up until around VR3 then I swapped Bob out for Crystal Shard from the Dark Magic skill line. ✭✭I think they could use a 25% damage increase plus resistance to AoE (but not single target) so they don't get wrecked so quick in group pvp and against bosses.
I also think the need more utility (clan fear should have a knock back like enemy npc clanfear do.)0 -
I am used to play a pet class, in both pvp and pve mmorpgs, but this pet class is not for me I can see. A shame

Yeah, I'm currently converting my Summoner Sorc into a Sword and Board Sorc, there are a few abilities in Storm Calling tree that make a Sorc ok in direct combat, and you can have your Clanfear distracting for three VR levels, while you build up your sorc.
I am currently using Lightning Form (Thundering Presence Morph) and Surge (Critical Surge Morph) seems to be working ok for now.

In PvE the Clannfear does about 50 DPS and the Twilight does about 75 DPS.
In PvP? Never actually used a pet in PvP but I imagine it would be like a puppy violently shaking the cuff of your pants legs. Cute to watch but not very threatening.
I used a pet for soloing from Beta to VR14 but I dropped after the stealth nerf to pet healing in the last update.Edited by Nightreaver on 18 December 2014 00:37If they ever create a Legendary recipe it better contain bacon as one of the ingredients. I'm just sayin'.2
