Is anyone actually happy with this? One of the main things keeping me from trying DK is not wanting my character to be a transparent black outline every time I fight. I realize that aesthetics aren't everything but I would like to be able to see my character.

It's ok, it's not the prettiest look, but considering you only use it to stop yourself from dying, well I can live with it.

Do try the DK, I've tried all the classes, and I can honestly say I enjoy them all, each one feels and plays differently, and as such feels like a different character to me (I make choices based on the character and backstory I assign them).

I almost never use it out of battle and I couldn't care less what my character looks like when she's fighting. I'm more focused on red circles, enemy heavy attack and getting to that healer in the back asap.

I hate the whole enlarged beating heart thing too....or the spiked armor (which eventually no DK really uses, sort of like those annoying - and hideous - sorcerer pets that exist, it seems, only to make banks a pain).

But as Alex and Rosveen said, it's a fun class to play. Plus I think you've been influenced by folks who pop that skill all the damned time whether they need it or not.

I'm with Alex...when you really need it you'll find it far less unattractive

I too think it's a bit ridiculous, especially considering that it's not like the graphic for the buff really tells us anything really interesting. IMO it would be better if the skill could show that whole transparent body thing for like 2-3 seconds on activation and then return to normal.

I don't have much hope for it changing though, they still haven't manage to get rid of that incredibly more annoying glowing orb for inner light.

I thought it was kind of an interesting look almost like you are putting a dragons heart into yours. There are other options to heal with so I would hope you don't limit yourself from playing a fun class because of one skill. Even if it is a good skill that the current opinion claim you need.
