Wild Honey

WTF is it? I have gotten two provisioning writs requiring Voljar's Honey Cider that has wild honey as an ingredient. I know it used to drop because I had some at one time but since I didn't need it I got rid of it. Now I can't find any. I have used a lvl 10 alt to farm Stonefalls containers. Nada. I have asked in zone chat to buy it. None. I have pleaded in all 5 of my guilds. Nobody has any. I have gone zone to zone looking at all the traders. ZIPPO.

Seriously..WTF is this stuff? Is it still dropping? I canceled the first writ but after only two days I have the same writ again.

It's still dropping, you just need to loot all the barrels and sacks and crates, I have had about ten or so pieces. It's not that common but it is there.

What level character are you looting this on? It's listed as a lvl 10 item but I get none on my lvl 10 character. I can't just loot everything in my normal play because I have vet 9-12 characters so I never see it on them.

I rolled a new nightblade so he was between levels 3 and 16, he's just reached level 16, and I'm playing an alt for a bit, so he will probably be finding it in Deshaan.

Have you found any in Stonefalls? I was farming the docks at Davon's Watch but had no luck.

Yes, My nightblade is in the Ebonheart Pact.

I emptied all the crates/barrels and sacks as well as dressers/cupboards/nightstands/dess and satchels I could find. I found more often in the area around the bank and mages guild, but also in the wild and at Ebonheart city too.

You just need to empty everything.

Just got some wild Honey in Deshaan, My nightblade is still level 17, so it's still dropping for low levels.

I don't need it mind you, I'm now crafting level 25 foods and drinks and my provisioning is now level 33, but it still there.

Thanks for the info. I went ahead and bit the bullet and sunk 6 points into recipe improvement so I would get max level writs. Seems like a total waste but at least it won't be as much of a hassle getting mats.

Wild Honey is one of the rare ingredients. Most of my ingredient stacks are 80 to 100, even Salt, Pepper, Potatoes, Onions the like. I have about 5 Wild Honeys. I have 120 Honey Combs.

That's exactly why I sunk the points into provisioning on my alt. I have way more mats like honey comb and onion for max level stuff than seems is feasible to get from lower level stuff.

Each alliance has a low level ingredient that just doesn't seem to drop. For the pact, Wild Honey is super-duper rare. I'm not sure if primary ingredient is pegged to toon level or zone level currently, but even with the right toon in the right zone Wild Honey is rare.
The reason it is I think is that I have seen very early maps that make Eastmarch the first zone of the Pact. Thus Voljar recipes are level 10 and Dragon-Tongue lvl 15 (both well known in Skyrim) and Sujamma, Greef and Shien are later recipes (all three introduced in Morrowind).
Thus we are expected to loot Wild Honey in Stonefalls and Deshann and I wonder if the loot table frequencies have some sort of left over "these shouldnt be here" factor.

I just checked, I have 2 Wild Honeys.

All other provisioning except Oats and Tomatoes are over 50. Well some of the drinks ones are single digit in count but that is more because I leave behind most of what I find for beverages, until recently.
